Do you think Mississippi State is better academically than MU?

Many of our graduates work at Boeing. Is there anything like Boeing in Mississippi? I know it is the most impoverished state in the United States.

I never brought us into this.
This was a Mizzou vs Miss State question, so not sure why we are relevant to that

I think of the good basketball team they had with Quinn Snyder as the coach.

And the show Ozark.

And a good journalism school

My uncle built the Moon buggy and was very good friends with Neal Armstrong. He worked for both NASA and Boeing. I guess that would count as a grad from Mississippi State that did great things.

Lol, pretty sure every major university has many graduates that did great things. Mizzou has Sam Walton. Stan Kroenke, etc etc.

Yet with all of these advantages, you were unable to escape having to live in Mississippi?

Really speaks to the black hole of what poverty is to a community.

When I think about Mizzou I think of a bunch of Meth Heads. Do they actually have a school that has anything resembling higher education in that entire state?

Well, we can't be any more redneck than

I actually do quite well in Mississippi. Positives are that you can get a home on a very nice golf course overlooking a beautiful lake with some of the most beautiful sunsets you will ever see for about half a million dollars. Private school for the kids isn’t necessary in many other states but unfortunately we feel it is an investment in our children’s future rather than putting them in the rat race of Mississippi schools. Anywhere else the same home and surroundings would cost a million plus. Anyhow it is not that bad if you set yourself up right!

Mississippi Schools Ranked Second-to-Last in National Ranking

Does this rat race of yours feature actual rats? I know they are obese, but are they also drunk and/or promiscuous?

I acknowledged the schools are shitty here hence the statement I send my kids to private school. Unfortunately it costs more per year for 2 kids than most people in Missouri make in 2 years.

Median annual household income

Missouri: $55,016
Mississippi: $41,099

I see from another thread that you attended college on an athletic scholarship. Did you graduate?
