A wise man indeed. It wasn't sincere, so at least I'm not a hypocrite.

I think Russell starts and Prescott comes in for short yardage/goalline ala Leak/Tebow in 2012 with Prescott slowly taking over the job.

I was about to say the same thing

When are people going to realize the spread isn't a "gimmick" offense.

Were Florida's 2 Nat'l Championships just a gimmick?

Whats the definition of a gimmick offense, then?

And NIH, go frick yourself

I think it's proven to have staying power. How long until it's not a gimmick? Do you believe women's voting rights are also a gimmick?

I guess the definition for you is anything that is not out of the I or pro set.

Just because Florida won 2 National Titles with it, its proven to be staying forever? Wing T? Triple Option? You're saying the Wildcat isn't a gimmick offense?

My definition of a gimmick offense: An offense that is designed to mask lack of talent, such as the triple option, spread option, spread, wildcat, and air raid, even though the air raid requires the most talent.

Urban Meyer brought his offense from a non qualifier, in which he had to mask the lack of talent on Utah

I'm sorry I asked the wrong question earlier. Do you believe EVOLUTION is a gimmick?

Reaching hard, brah.

How about you combat my argument with something that actually involves football.

If you look closely, it does involve football. In the olden times of football, everyone was running the wing, option, or some variation of that. Then offenses EVOLVED into the pro-style and power-I type offenses. The Spread is the next step in the evolution of football offense.
