Why the frick is Mizzou playing @Toledo?!?
Y'all are in the SEC now. There is no reason y'all should play at a lower school like Toledo.
b/c they want to get in on Ohio recruiting?

Brad Smith from Ohio, MatyM from Indiana and current DT, rising star Harold Brantley from Penn. Pinkel would rather have gone to the B1G over the SEC, where he is from and would feel at home, he doesn't speak for the rest of us though.

so b/c you are in the SEC now you think you should ignore states that have a ton of talent?

Yea keep mixing up that other kid we recruited, was it "gunnar" maybe, from Indiana?

I'm fine with recruiting there, as long as we are emphasizing FL, GA, TN, TX and MO first, you know the states "with a ton of talent" that have gotten us this far. How much territory can one program effectively cover though? We gonna recruit the entire SEC, the entire B1G and much of the PAC? Seems like bit much to chew, and is beside the point that Pinkel can't get beyond his Ohio/B1G sentimentality.

Mizzou only beat Toledo by 15 last year and that was at home
This is part of my point. Toledo is much better than its (non-existent)reputation. They played a good Mizzou team really tight last year. If they are slightly better (I have no clue) and we are slightly worse and playing at their place... I'm not sayin', I'm just sayin'.

But your point isn't accurate considering that when Mizzou played Toledo last year, Mizzou was a pretty average team. That was not the team they ended up being. Had they played them in week 10 they would have won by 40

Toledo's QB is Philip Ely who transferred from Bama. They threw for 360 and ran for 306 against New Hampshire yesterday, winning 54-20. Not saying Toledo will win, but it may just be one of the more interesting games on an otherwise pretty uneventful Saturday coming up.
How does Toledo's defense look? Specifically their backfield. Mizzou rolls. Bet the farm.

Toledo played us tough for three quarters last year. I think this game should be very similar, with our depth allowing us to pull away in the second half.
Still, if the guys don't get up for this game, Toledo could absolutely cause some problems. They aren't a team to look past, especially considering how shaky we looked against SDSU.

I'll be shocked if we lose to Toledo.

Bovada has the line at Mizzou -5 now.

I'm guessing this week will go like this. First Mizzou is put on upset watch, then that shifts to a lot of posters picking Toledo to win. Then Mizzou will win the game handily, and the rant will say "yeah, but it's Toledo"
Like clockwork.

not so sure, part of it was "our kryptonite" of stopping the screen and short pass, then again they won't have Fluellen to dump it off to so maybe we do better on third downs this time around.
now maybe they'll have another RB that we turn into Jim Thorpe, that is what we do, but we just have to wait and see.
