Arkansas is the only one who remembers that time. We just know we beat someone in a national championship game
Arkansas hasn't crossed our minds but for an hour or so when we played them a few times the last 60 years.

Your lucky OU wasnt in SEC the last 15 years, it would’ve cut your titles in half.
You're.
The only team in the Big12 to win a playoff game was TCU. OU and Texas were a combined 0-5.

We actualy think about Ohio st and Georgia a little when football is over. They should be our rivals

Perhaps unpopular opinion: I'd like to see A&M/sCar continue their annual series.

Yea I get why SEC fans would not be chill with Tennessee getting both Vandy and UK moving forward if we go to 3 annual opponents.
Although if this also would translate to basketball those 3 could not be more perfectly fair and fitting matchups for us.
At the end of the day my only real concern is preserving the TSIO. Tennessee and Alabama-the two schools that put major Southern college football on the map-should ALWAYS be a thing.
Would go against nature not having Alabama and Tennessee do battle every time the leaves start to change colors in the month of October. Just how it's supposed to be.

Texas won two playoff games last season and only lost in the 4 cuz a fifth year QB in pennix and our star running back jonathon brooks was hurt before the game and we lost to unstoppable Ohio state. And pushed them to brink, unlike any other school, also without our starting running back Baxter who got hurt in spring. Also we didnt play any SEC teams is another reason we didnt win.

If OU woulda been in SEC they woulda did LSU and Tennessee’s job for those lay down teams and beat you with 6 losses every other year, cutting your titles in half.

You beat 0 top5 teams. AKA, none of the teams Texas beat last year would have made the playoffs if not for them making it easy.
Texas was not impressive against decent competition. Although that's what you generally expect from a Sark team.

Ya OU's trophy room would definitely be a lot emptier had they been in the SEC since day one.
OU figuring out nothing is as zero-sum as SEC football is going to be a tough arse pill for them to swallow for the coming generations of OU fans. OU is no different than any other SEC program like LSU, Bama, UF, UGA, Tenn, AU,ect. when it comes to expectations supporters have for their football program.
No free lunch in this league. Every year is a different and brutal war of attrition that will have a lot of badass historical programs like OU feeling like they underachieved relative to each of these school's high expectations they have for themselves.

Ole Miss and Missouri are not even close to being rivals. I can OU developing a rivalry with Tennessee. There's some history to that match up. Or Arkansas since it's more proximate.
Texas is still our primary, although we've beaten them 17 times since 2000. They're better right now, but that usually doesn't last very long.

My pick for LSU would be Mississippi, Alabama and Arkansas on Black Friday.

All you care about is beating Texas, you traded bowl wins for red river rivalry wins cuz thats your superbowl
17 wins over texas and probly 17 or more bowl losses at same time.
Its sad realy.
Meanwhile Texas beat Ohio state, Michigan and LSU (who you couldnt beat) and USC (who you couldnt beat) in bowl wins
Also Texas stayed good for a decade under Mack Brown, get ready for another one of those but Slightly better and slightly longer under Sark

The only reason youve beaten Texas those times is your scared we wont even want you as a rival anymore if you dont cuz you suck so bad.
Which is true, I want Ohio St as rival in your place.
Im gonna call it the Mason Dixon Shoot out.

I'd be fine with it.
But Auburn needs to get Alabama, Georgia, Florida and Tennessee permanently - and throw in GIT and Clemson - just so they'll shut up about all their lost rivalries.

I put Miss State as LSU's rival instead of Ole Miss since they've played more times.
Bama has played Miss St more than Auburn too so go ahead and replace the Iron Bowl with Miss St on your list if this is your logic.

LSU must always play Ole Miss and Alabama
