Why does Saban have to do with anything? Chizik will have a better recruiting class at Auburn than Petrino will have at Arkansas. Is anybody on this board willing to take that bet?

Yeah he's off to one hell of a start! When Chexmix gets his arse handed to him, the recruits will slack off even more. Petrino has both feet on the ground and will inevitably, unavoidably, do better.

The ONLY arguement for Arky is Petrino is a supercoach on par with Saban or Meyer. That is the only thing I can see that is great enough to overcome 1-5 above. And by supercoach, I mean SUPERCOACH in all aspects of coaching and program building. I do not quite buy that. We will see.

Thank you.....please be more active. I'm begging you

What was defensive about my post? I simply pointed out that Chizik will likely have a better recruiting class than Petrino.

You need to look in the mirror anyhow beotch. You are the one first to whine and cry whenever anybody says anything negative or derorgatory about your school.

FYI, Arkansas and Auburn will both be better than Ole Piss over the next five years. Let me know when your school makes in to Atlanta even one time. I will probably die of old age before that ever happens

Correction. Tommy Tube steak out recruited the Dale. In their first heads up match up Petrino is 3 spots ahead of Chiznik. Not to mention the obvious fact that Petrino has proven what he can do given any talent at all, Chiznik??????? Not so much.

So a coach who was horrible in a lesser conference will all of the sudden make the jump and be successful in the toughest conference in America?

I don't buy it. At least Petrino consistently won in a decent conference.

I was gonna defend my position, but you just had to lay down the BOOM. Didn't you?

Please explain.

Last year: AU #16, Arky 20. And now that AU picked up Phillips, we would be at #13 or #14 according to Scout rankings.

This year: AU currently at #20 and Arky at #49.

Not to mention that generally speaking each SEC team recruits 8 players from their home state every year and and with Saban pretty much gobbling up the top 8 out of Alabama each season, that leaves the next 16 for Cheeze Nipples the bottom 16 to try to sign. Arkansas may not have the best HS talent in the world , but generally speaking our top 8 > Alabama's 9-17.

You have to be a total moron to compare Iowa State to Auburn. Auburn won their last conference championship in 2004. Iowa State won their last conference championship in 1912.

Iowa State is probably the only college in the United States that has gone longer without a conference championship than Ole Miss has

Wasn't really trying to. I was just thinking out loud as I typed and that is really the only possible advantage I see (I can agree Petrino is likely better than Chizik right now) but I think AU's staff and practically everything else is better.

You need to back up your assumptions with some logic and facts.

Here is some more for you. AU just got a commit from a top WR (4 star) out of UGA. AU may get the top recruit out of Arky. AU got a 4 star in Phillips from out of state. AU got another 4 star from TX last year. This year, we have got commits from some of the top 8 and top 10 in Alabama and will likely get another 1 or 2. Fact is AU recruiting is supperior to Arky year in and year out. That did not change in Petrino's first year and is not looking good at this point this year.

In fact, AU signed highly rated players from 5 different states last year. McCalleb (4 star VA), Phillips (4 star MS), Benton (4 star LA), Rollikson (4 star TX), Fairly (4 star MS), Freeman (5 star MS), Lutz (4 star GA).

1. Historically and recently AU is better.

Stop bringing up the past bitch.

quote:

2. AU has more talent now.

Compared to Arkansas, ok, maybe. Great Job!

quote:

3. AU will sign more talent next year.

Because what? Auburn's awesome season, or recruiting staff, tha'ts debatable.

quote:

4. Judging Chizik soley based on ISU is ignorant. Ignoring the talented staff he has put together is even worse.

Judging Chizick just because of his staff, is ignorant.

quote:

5. AU has a much bigger budget and is easily perceived as the better program nationally.

And Auburn spends more money than Bama, but still get yo asses stomped. You think you are better than Arkansas? Again, very debatable, but pretty much a given.

Ole Miss and Arkansas are better than Auburn right now. Good luck competing with Miss. State Auburn bitches.

Iowa State also went 4-8 or something like that the year before Chizik arrived. They obviously had problems before Chizik's arrival

So you are saying Iowa State is doomed no matter what the coach is? I guess they are lucky that Chizik the magician won them 2.5 games a year. Now they are doomed to winless season year in and year out.

A guy on Georgia's team committed to you? That doesn't sound legal....
