Your point is fair but they're both game managers for the most part carried by other pieces. Jones has the best OL in the nation and Trask has the single most dominant player in college football in Pitts.

Also, PFF just grades individual performances, so the skill of the talent around each player is irrelevant

oney is just as good as Metchie. Bolden hasn’t done much this season. Baker hasn’t caught a single pass. Your backup TE has done more then both of them combined.

Because Smith, Metchie, and Najee are so good behind your line he doesn’t have too. Not having to run plays past your 3rd option is a good thing not a bad one. You control everything upfront so Mac can chill and wait for his guy to come open. Trask can’t do that and has to out smart a defense pre snap.

It’s like the Tom Brady fanboys that consistently shite on their team just to prop up Brady. Yeah Brady is the most important player but do you really have to talk about how shite everyone else is to make that point?

No Trask isn’t a game manager. He lost Pitta for 2 and a half games and didn’t miss a beat. Do you not watch the games?? Trask is elite at reading defenses. This is east to see if you watch him work. He throws more receivers open than a Whore House.

How is staying a fact like, “only Trask and Pitts on our team would start for you” is shitting on anyone? Our players are better than most but they aren’t Bama’s . It’s just a fact.

Now compare the offensive lines.
So y'all are saying that no QB should win awards if they have a good offensive line?

Tell that to Joe Burrow. His offensive line won the Joe Moore trophy last year for best offensive line.

And his wide receivers... one went in the 1st round of the NFL draft last year; the other is an All American who is expected to be drafted in the 1st round this year; and may have a 3rd WR in the 1st.... even though they both opted out of playing this year, one recently.

Cornerback
1. Patrick Surtain II (BAMA) (86.3)

Love this but where are the LBs at? Not one in the top 10 from Alabama. SMH.

I’m not going argue whether or not Trask is better. I have no problem with you saying he is. But don’t sit here and talk like your receivers are like dogshit compared to Alabama’s. As if he’s throwing to a G5 team’s group. When Waddle was still around, sure Alabama definitely had a better group. But now Alabama has a whopping 2 reliable targets to throw to. Even as good Metchie has been, he had his best games when teams focused completely on Smith.

Again your receiving corps is just as good as Alabama’s. If you want to argue Trask has to do more, stick to the OL and Najee because you do have an argument there.

okay, then Mac still gets credit. The QB room is empty with other options with talent and experience to do what he's done. Yes, drop Trask into Bama's offense and he excels. But, Trask isn't in the Bama QB room.

Bama is not a NC contender without Mac at QB.

What if all else to death, but it is what it is.

Pitts and Smith not being the real debate is a bigger travesty. It is a QBs award and it usually goes to the one on one of the best 4 teams at season's end.

His PFF grade tells me such. I didn't say he sucks, Mac Jones is just better.

If you count Pitts coming down with a monster catch as throwing receivers open, then sure.

The majority of Florida fans ITT are literally arguing that their team is worse than Alabama's.

I don't even know what is happening here. Is this some sort of attempt at a reverse jinx? Like anti-shitposting?

Most UF fans that have watched this team all year know that there is little to no chance of beating y’all. It would take Trask going for 6-7 touchdowns and playing an absolute perfect game, which won’t happen against Bamas defense.

As far as this thread, I was trying to reason why Mac is the front winner in Heisman voters eyes, but that turned into an obvious shitshow.

Joe Burrow won that award, not the O-line. LSU had an average at best O-line last year. Damien Lewis was the highest graded LSU lineman last year at 76.7

Just proves you don’t watch the games. Pitts accounts for 11% of Trask completion’s. He throws receivers open literally every game. Play zone against him and see.

So now they're giving awards for offensive lines to QBs.

And what about all those NFL 1st round WRs. Are those all Burrows too?

Pitts doesn't have to come down with a large percentage for it to be true. It is just fact that the UF receiving core has come down with some great catches this year for Trask this year. That does not mean he is bad, but acting like Trask does everything is plain dishonest.

I have yet to hear a legitimate argument for why you think Trask is better than Jones
