Explain this one: OU fought tooth and nails against LSU. Squeaked out a win. Didn’t move up.
Easy answer. OU is the highest ranked 2-loss team. To move up you’d have to jump a 1-loss team.

It assured a spot in the SEC championship game. This whole idea of regular season champs Bama people are now talking about is like when Miles said he hadn't lost in regulation.
We're resorting to coming up with new stuff to make us feel good about ourselves.
Bama has a better resume based on the schedule without any thing else to add to it.
Again, no one here is saying the ranking is wrong. The point is they screwed up putting Notre Dame above Bama. Now they see it's gonna cause a problem for them if BYU wins, they correct it. Instead of saying, "we looked at it long and realize we were wrong", they say it had to do with the impressive Iron Bowl win. No one believes that.
ESPN probably makes too much money from having the show, but we'd all be better off if they never produced any in-season rankings. Just meet this weekend. Watch the championshp games together. Meet again on Sunday and give us one ranking selecting the teams announced at 6:00.
It's brutal listening to them explain changes in rankings based on what they're seeing in games knowing it's not true.

Bama didn't move up because we won. We moved up because Texas A&M lost and made NDs schedule look suspect.
No, you moved up b/c ESPN wants to make sure their precious Bama doesn't miss the playoff two years in a row. Getting them that high means they can't get dropped out of the playoff at this point.

They deserve to go in over Notre Dame. I'd give them the edge. It's not like it's highway robbery if they don't, but they should.
That said, weird that before these rankings came out today, at Underdog Bama was -2000 if you bet they make the playoff and Notre Dame was -400.

We lost one game, bruh. We didn't lose to an unranked team, bruh.

The team whose fans are freaking out and making a thread about something it's not because they seem to think everyone's thoughts are about hating them.
The point once again is the committee makes no sense when they try and explain what they do.
I agree with their ranking this week, but trying to explain why they changed it from last week was a big fail.

If Bama beats UGA twice in a year should we be ahead of them?
You lost to unranked Florida State.
Just like Texas lost to Florida.
Georgia was 11-1 at the end of the regular season. Bama was 10-2
