Anthony Grant is an improvement over Pel, prolly a push versus Mike. Grant is much younger though, maybe that means he is hungrier too? Maybe not.

I'd take Buzz over Anderson. When Anderson doesn't achieve the level of success we want it will get ugly, Nolan will go off on irrational tirades and our program could slip even further.

Nah, Andrrson will improve the program from where it is today but it won't be like the early 90s. No inside game, not a great defense.

I was not drunk when I posted this. Promise.

Damn, coming down with a cold, gotta coach soccer here in an hour.

Hiring Mike brings along a lot of risks, that is for sure.

In reply to Gregg...

Let me put it to all you Football fans this way. God forbid that Petrino left, but would you be happy if Jeff Long hired someone that had some success in the Big South and Mo Valley conference to be the head coach of our Football program?? Really???

The name on the jersey and the conference affiliation of the school is far more important than the coach. Oh, and he needs to have a "pedigree".

Is the Ben Howland unhappy at UCLA/mystery candidate rumor total BS? Sounds far fetched to me. Feelings?

Howland is no where on JL's radar, IMO

I do think that there might be 2 or more coach's on his radar that aren't in the "collective" list.

People seem to conveniently forget that Nolan came from Tulsa.

That sounds like a Petrinoesque hire to me.

I can't bring myself to display the UF logo though.

Through all this coaching search I've been hoping that another hire like this would happen.

Then JL would be off my shite list!

I would take Howland in a heartbeat. His teams are always fun to watch. I definitely like his style.

I heard he was unhappy there back in January, something to do with "unrealistic" expectations from UCLA...

if it's bad enough for him to want out i'm guessing it would be more an issue with the AD than the fans

and by want out i mean threaten to want out for contract leverage
