But we had a significant inside presence with those guys and Corliss.

Matter of fact, the only time Nolan went to the Final Four was when he had what I call "inside presence". Big O. Corliss, Darnell R. and Lee Wilson. Nolan's best team was when he could slow the game down and pound it down low, control the tempo, when they were diverse between half court and all out press.

I agree with this^^^^. Nolan's best teams had big butt presence on the inside. They were also versatile with the tempo ...could take it up a notch or slow things down when needed, with a lot of shot blocking.

Wasn't it Dwight Stewart who looked like "Chubby Checker"?

Exactly, and Dwight Stewart was a pretty versatile big man(with the biggest assist in school history). I saw Big O run the floor too.

Yes he could, all the shooters on that team laugh at the 3 point line being moved back last year, "Still not far enough". The NBA line was too close to the basket for some of them.

The point of all my points was that Mike is NOT the best choice IMO. Buzz is the best choice. We cannot screw it up this time around IMO. I'm out.

Buzz is not the best choice. Mike may not be either, but compared to Buzz, he is the better choice. 9 years, two sweet 16s, an elite 8 at two different schools compared to a 2nd round appearance and 3 years experience + 1 year at UNO.

GUV hates Nolan but won't admit it. SO, he is against Mike, but says he isn't......It's a full time job.

He is one of those people who want to believe something to the point that they will find any information that "backs them up" and runs with it.

He is one of the people that will give everything he has to the T.V. preacher man who needs money for a new jet because his is antiquated, it is 3 years old...

Robert Shepherd was one of my favorites who played for Nolan. That guy could flat out draw a foul and hit some free throws. What ever happened to him?

He was going on about Oral Roberts one night and I told him some things he didn't know about old Oral. I think he was crushed....I almost felt bad.
