Relax, he's only pushing that shite because he knows that if Anderson is hired and can bring back the old magic, MSU is doomed to a repeat of the early 90s beatdowns. The days when Arkansas didn't even wonder if we would beat MSU, but rather wondered if we would double them up.

The Glory Days of Mississippi St Basketball. Multiple Co-SEC West Championships.

What I wouldn't give to be a MSU basketball fan in these day and ages.

Are you talking about mid major coaches like Donovan and Calipari?

I understand that Marshall isn't coaching at an elite program. And I think he is a good coach. I would just feel a lot better about hiring a coach from a major conference who has won NCAAT games.

There's a 1996 Final Four and UPig has nothing to match it since then

Heath won "a lot" of NCAAT games and never won one here...

Neither has Mississippi State. It was a fluke.

The year prior we were in the championship game.

The year before that we won the damn thing.

no, I'm talking about mid-major coaches winning as the head coach at UPig. You guys are a 2nd tier SEC basketball program now- and will most likely stay that way

You do realize that we won a national championship 2 years before then and went to the final game just one year before then , don't you?

True. We need someone with more than 1 year of coaching experience.

Yes I realize that you are trying to act like your program > ours because you went to final four a full one year more recently than we have. Despite the fact that our final four appearances resulted in a national championship and a runner up.

That's weak sauce.

You didn't answer my question. Why are you so obsessed with Arkansas basketball?

The fact that you are proves that Arkansas basketball is superior to Miss St. Not just in basketball, but in every athletic program I can think of.
