Mike is in the 2nd tier of coaches below the Self's, Izzo's, Coach K, etc, etc...

Well, that hire would certainly shut up those who say Arky can't hire a big name.

As I told you awhile back- you will end up hiring a MID-MAJOR COACH...but he really looked impressive the other nite in the NIT

easily matches BCG

Wrong. Mike has built and sustained success at a school, something BCG has never done. Mike has taken a team to the elite 8 and a different team to the sweet 16, something BCG has never done. Mike has never had to check himself into rehab or bail himself out of jail, something BCG has had to do.

Mike far surpasses BCG...

If we hire a mid-major coach it will be because we choose too. A few coaches at a school in the big6 conferences are begging for the job...

We will hire the coach we think is best. You will continue to have Stans. We win.

It is hard to break into the top tier, takes a NC or a few Final Fours depending on who you ask...

I don't even care. He can grow into top tier. Arkansas is in a great position to help him become that top tier coach.

Gregg Marshall > Stans

You don't know jack shite about our coaching search. As a matter of fact, you know nothing about much of anything, but you can keep acting like you do.

You Miss St heathens are obsessed with Arkansas.

What's the deal with Marshall, guys? He seems like he has put some decent teams together, but has never went deep into the NCAAT. I would take MA or Turgeon over him, definitely.

He was never higher than a 14 seed at Winthrop. So that probably has something to do with it.

I get that, but I would rather we hire someone who has proven they can win big games

Not yet, we still have possibly 2 guys ahead of him, but keep acting like you know something. Just because you were a rinky dink high school coach doesn't make you big shite.

And your point? How many SEC Championships, NCAA Championships, Final Fours, Great Eights, Sweet Sixteens, etc. has State won during Arkansas' down years?

State isn't and NEVER WILL be considered even a "good" basketball program. It's a shite program that doesn’t even approach the level of a good mid-major.

Winthrop was in the Big South conference, he gave the conference their highest seed ever in the tournament and their only tournament win.

Wichita is a school that has made the tournament only once in the past 15 years or so. The MVC was jobbed by the selection committee either WSU or Missouri State should have been an at large, but I guess it was important that every Big East team with a winning record make it in...
