Also, the players that showed up, or more accurately did not to Pel's presser today should be very telling as well...

What was his beef with Pel?
He was promised improvement and didn't get it. He was also forced to run around in circles trying to get open in Pel's "offense". I'd say, Pel over promised and under delivered to Rotnei.

Clarke's PPG has increased every year at Arkansas. I really think it will drop considerably next season if Madden and Young are as good as advertised and Nobles continues to show improvement.

No.
Madden is pissed because he was promised a starting spot and that will not longer be kept...

I imagine Clarke would welcome the reduction in his ppg for some structure on offense.

I'd look for Nobles to suffer more than Rotnei. I do think Madden and Young are the best players in the class. They might take away from Rotnei, but I think they might finally give him some freedom. Al Dillard style!

Did he really believe he was going to walk in as a freshman and be given a job over a 3 year starter in Rotnei Clarke???
Madden probably should have gone to Ole Miss if this was the case, unless Pel was really considering Clarke being gone next season

Nobles will go to the bench next year. No way in hell he beats out Young.

That's a example of Pel making promises he can't keep.

I don't know, but Pel made promises like this all the time. He wonders why his players do not respect him or would not perform for him...

I agree with this, but am curious is Madden more of a PG or SG? I know that Young is a PG and should start there and Rotnei should start at the 2.

Madden is a SG, no matter what he thinks.

Just another reason Pel was shown the door..
I'm almost positive these kids were promised starting jobs..

Pel also promised Madden that Young would be moved to the 2G spot so he could showcase himself as NBA PG prospect...
Pel was desperate as he thought he 3 instate kids would secure his job for 4 more years.

Do you think Pel promised or Ostrom told him to promise? I really wonder.

Where do you think these kids came up with the idea that they get to dictate who is hired and fired at the UofA for basketball?
Despite what they were told, even the real fab 5 didn't have this kind of pull...

You obviously missed my point...
Peterson, Nobles and Scott's PT was to be cut to allow these kids to play.
