We do not need Howland or Pitino they are both past their prime the fire is gone Howland peaked 4 years ago and Pitino Peaked before he went to the NBA. Both of these guys would have a fire in their gut equivelant to a wet blanket. Neither of them would come here to grow, but rather come here to retire. Old horses being put out to pasture. This program will die on the vine slowly if either of these men are our pony. Buzz, Marshall are both better options due to their age alone.

So when is this search ending?

Hire Williams, Marshall, or Howland. Let Mike sign his extension at MU. And last but not least, let spring break start, I'm hating snow days being made up and trying to teach fractions to kids that have fraction of a will to learn

If you really want to watch a young up and coming coach then turn it on ESPN now. Cuonzo Martin is going to be an extremely succesful coach over his career. His teams are extremely disciplined and fun to watch. He's done an amazing job turning MSU back around in a short time. The Bears were a flaming train wreck before he came in. They also won the MWC regular season title over Wichita State this year.

If he just had a couple more years coaching under his belt then I would have no problem with him coming to Arkansas.

Not sure if serious. The program was structurally bad when Martin took over.

The person to blame was Rowe, he. killed all momentum we built by micro managing and thinking it was 1965. When you would go look for support or resources Rowe said no. Multiple times we begged him to let us deal with certain companies and stop going to same boosters always.

Bailey is spot on with this info.

The UA and Sexton are talking, but so far no contract has been offerred to Anderson.

Anderson wants the job, but Missouri is painting him into a corner with a raise and an extension
Jeff Long is slow-playing Anderson.

If Mike signs the contract extension with Missouri it means that he was never offered the job at Arkansas. I'm sure the UA talking heads will spin it and blame it on Sexton.

The next 48 hours will be very telling. If it's Anderson, we'll have a PC tomorrow. If we don't hear anything by the end of the week, it's probably not Howland.

From Pork. A non cryptic post I might add.

I think Long wants Buzz and if we do not sign MA then that is who we will have. Long is holding out for someone or MA would be our coach already.

If we have no coach by the start of next week I think it's clear who we are gonna get, imo.

Wait, Forgot about Marshall

Can someone give a brief summary on what the deal is with Anderson and the current status of the search?

Not hardly. Jeff Long is pretty much the only person who wants him up on the hill.
