He's probably seen the statistics of people and dealt first hand with the populations of people who are involved in these types of crimes to see how the majority of people react first hand to being the victim of crimes of this nature. He's also basing his judgment on the actions of the victim to date.

To take it a step further, it was the alleged victim's father that filed the report. As of yet, there is nothing showing the 18 yo has come forward in any capacity.

I just said I did. Are you of the belief that NOPD's sexual crimes division should focus on this case as opposed to the numerous other ones that I'm sure they have?

Still a case regardless of it not being high priority.

The Alabama fan was an idiot especially in today's society at a sporting filled with camera's, camera phones, twitter, facebook etc. He got what was coming to him.

As stupid as the incident was, much much worse goes on in the French Quarter on a nightly basis.

Again with really crappy logic. It's the "well Bobby did it too" defense. I think you should protest this travesty and petition the NOPD to stop all investigations of lesser crimes until they solve all of the murders.

Both parties will be fine after a couple of years.
No one other than family and friends will remember the victim.
The teabagger will be signing autographs alongside Updyke at T Town Menswear.
These people will be waiting for the door to be unlocked.

Very true. No such thing as bad publicity unless you are locked up for life.

He's just another drunk moron that quality people will not respect.

Everyone thinks they know.

"If I saw the kid getting raped by Sandusky, I woulda kicked his arse!"

Look. The kid is facing the prospect of the entire world seeing him getting teabagged. That is some sad shite, and I've seen plenty of people elect not to come forward and testify on lesser things.

The digital age helps with self-incrimination more than ever before.

You can't stop stupid people from being stupid. However, now the world gets to see instead of an isolated group.

I agree with this, it would be retarded to actually prosecute this guy on sexual battery charges. Yeah what he did was a little over the line, but it's no reason to ruin the guy's life over something that probably neither him nor the "victim" remember.

Then you're wishing for the kid to have to testify in court. I'm betting it gets plead down.

from everything i have heard, he doesn't have to testify, it's all on video, doesn't even have to press charges, that is the state-city responsibility...i will give my opinion, shouldn't done it, should go to jail for a bit, but the sex offender is over the top...

oh and the aggie from Houston who keeps bashing NOLA..you ever been to downtown Houston?

Something people are forgetting is the vic may be in the no trial corner. A quick plea makes his testimony unnecessary. A great deal of time, the vic signs off on a plea to not only avoid being on the stand, but also to avoid a protracted trial. Plea = gone from the news cycle.

I didn't read all the pages, but did he really say that it was ok because the victim was drunk and would not have remembered?!!?
