Because a preseason ranking should be based on where I think they will finish. Can't imagine how else to go about this process.
If it is based on how they start, how can you do it without some thoughts about it as a continuation of the prior year?
In which case, LSU being tied for #1 is laughable.

Hey look...everyone thinks Mizzou can't compete in the SEC.
This is new and refreshing information.

Well. The good thing is they say this shot every year. We see how that worked out for them a couple of the years we have been here.

Anyone who is dumb enough to rank Mizzou last we'll be guaranteed to have at least 1 downvote.

Did you watch South Carolina last year? And they hired Muschamp to take over that mess. At least with wiBO we don't know if he's going to be good or bad. Muschamp is a proven failure at a bigger name football school.

How the frick did I know you were posting about South Carolina?

I'm just making my argument for why Mizzou shouldn't be ranked last on anyone's list.

At some point it's an obsession, not a pattern.
I did go through and downvote everyone that put us last. Not because I think they're wrong. It's all a matter of principle

This place is hilariously illogical. 2013 when the East was "down" and had two top 5 teams in USC and Mizzou but order was restored last season with Florida and Tennessee finishing 1 and 2... the two best teams in the division were ranked 25 and 22.

It's the easy excuse. Instead of giving credit where it's due, it's "well it wasn't this big name or this big name so it's a fluke"
It's dumb, but it won't stop. You'll hear it any time someone other than UF, Tenn, UGA do well. It would happen in the West too, but everyone is Bamas bitch.

No question. Last year was one of the worst seasons in SEC East history. Mizzou and USC were down. coincidence? I think not. East needs a strong Mizzou and USC to carry it obviously.
