Your perception that the SEC was super tough back then is wrong. Besides from the top 3 teams, the others sucked.

your perception the SWC was ever worth a shite was wrong. Check winning %'s, bowl wins, top 10 finishes, national titles, and see how the old SWC schools compare to the SEC. its a joke.

Lame comeback when you have nothing relevant to add to a cnversation. Im mad because all came from a joke conference and thought it was good? I gaurantee you it would take any of the big 6 twenty fricking years to win th SWC title or Big 12 title.

Poor Arky..division teammates have won MORE National Titles in the last 7 years than they have won bowl games in the last 25....... Please think about that and you will understand why you get no respect from the real Champ programs..

Put up or shut up.....please

SWC had 9 teams and played 7 conference games at least.

SEC had 10 teams and played 5-6 conference game after 1966 when Tulane and G-Tech left.

Arkansas has played LSU and Ole Miss more than half your conference has played each other all-time.

Arkansas was in the SWC for 75 years and now the SEC for 20 years and we still have more series schedule against LSU and Ole Miss than half the old guard does against each other in the SEC.

PATHETIC.

Chizit Miles, Saban and Meyer all won the NCG in there first three year...the great Petrino has a Liberty bowl win and the only SEC loss to tOSU in his first 3 years yet...he is to be respected!!

Arky...hear me now and hear me loud...until you do something...your just a 2nd tier program

What the hell? When the frick did I ever insinuate this? I insinuated that Saban, Petrino, Brown etc, etc, have forgotten more about evaluating talent than guys from Rivals, Scout, ESPN etc have ever known. Anybody who believe the stars are for anything more than fan entertainment are naive and uneducated in the world of college football.

Wow. that might mean something if you actually had a winning record against lsu or, you know, an sec title.

Wow you would think that in al that rambling there would be one cogent thought relevant to the point at hand. If you were used to playing in such a great league, why, pray tell, has this one domnited you so? Christ, you would think you could win at least one sec crown in twenty years....

Thats why such a small percentage of five stars and such a large percentage of 2 stars g pro, right? But lets be hones, Petrino is filling up mostly on guys that arent being offered by the big boys. Petrino isnt taking those kids because he knows some secret that rivals doesnt, hes taking them because thats all he can get.

Hear ye hear ye..
Arky win% in the SEC is 55% but savior Petrino has been banging away at a 60% clip so the move to a top program is now only decades away.

Losing Record against LSU winning Record against the one of the corner stone programs of the old SEC Ole Miss.

As for winning championships the SEC was the first "Super Conference", uncharted waters. Ole Miss sure hasn't done anything. Florida is NOT the Florida of the old SEC. TV contracts let schools with tremendous talent pools to have an advantage. Scholarship limits evened the playing field traditional powers couldn't horde players.

Arkansas has underachieved since joining the SEC but the game has drastically changed compared to 1992.

This is why we laugh and call you pathetic. Ole Miss is not a "cornerstone" sec program, but pleae let me use this as a sig line.

Bama and tennessee were geting respect long before TV. LSU and Auburn, Georgia Tech. etc. etc. all before TV.

2011 NFL Draft 1st round

2 star - 3 star: 11 draftees
5 star = 6 draftees

You must have missed it when the Rivals guy admitted that Rivals ranks kids depending on what school they are considering and commit to.

But I wouldn't expect you to remember that considering you're a star gazer Rivals hugger. What will you do when they're put out of business soon?
