Dude it's football season man, let's leave basketball smack for when we actually have a game within a few months. We're still a long ways out on that one.

Missouri's best ever team, a #1 seed in the NCAA tournament..
LINK
Missouri has never won a game in Bud Walton Arena.
They've beaten Arkansas once in the last 20 years (1-9). The lone victory was scored by Mike Anderson against Stan "I like the big 10" Heath.

I like how some of you guys post these records like 1-9 that dates back to when jesus was playing point guard for the prophets like it means something or like our winning record against bama in football, that holds no water and ar-KANSAS keeps rehashing their records against Mizzou....its what have you done for me lately is all that matters, you cant go off records against teams when you play them every once in a blue moon but this fall we will see where we stand and the rest of the great SEC.

#2 Missouri got beat 120 - 68 by Arkansas in Bud Walton. Just stop.
And before that Mizzou and Norm Stewart forged an all-time winning record in Barn Hill Arena. No wonder you had to move since we'd taken ownership of that old POS.
By the way, that game you mention actually sparked Mizzou on to a 28-4 season in which they ended the year ranked #3 in the polls, went undefeated in the Big Eight, and were a #1 seed in the Big Dance that went to the Elite Eight. Not exactly too shabby. We were one game away from a rematch with your bacon boys in Charlotte, woulda been fun to see.

Nice selective cutoff there. What pray tell was Mizzou's record against Arkansas prior to that? What was our record in precious, famed old Barn Hill Arena? Hmmmm?
Generally speaking any time anyone has to use a specific time frame or cutoff point to frame the debate, you know its a bunch of slanted, biased homer horseshite.
Any answer yet? OK here goes
The Arkansas-Mizzou basketball series stands at Arkansas 19, Mizzou 18. About as fiercely even as you can get. And that means prior to your bullshite selective cutoff point, Mizzou had the series edge by a 17-8 margin. In other words it shows what we already know: your only real period of relevance was the Nolan Richardson era, aside from that you have generally sucked balls at hoops.
Oh and Mizzou's record in Barn Hill Arena? It was a winning one. Hearnes Center South, as we used to say.

Great year, you reached the pinnacle of Missouri basketball that has yet to be breached.

zzzz. Like I haven't heard this kinda shite before. Doesn't phase me. The Big Dance is a random assortment of insane upsets and one-time, anything goes thrills that result in a world where fricking George Mason and VCU and Butler can to to the Final Four while knocking out blue blooded one seeds in the process. I other words IDGAF about the above sort of smack being run at us. shite happens in the Dance to everyone. It might even happen to your Piggies IF you ever make it back there again or ever do ANYTHING of note aside from the Nolan Richardson era...still waiting on that.

I LOVE how the Hog faithful bring up games that happened almost two decades ago to support their arguments but when Mizzou posters bring up the Cotton Bowl, in which Mizzou dismantled the Hog football team in 2008 38-7 , it is "Ancient History".

What you kittens fail to realize is last year is the latest peak of your program.
The Haith Slide started vs Norfolk St. And he did it only because he was standing on top of Anderson's recruiting.
But, I know... #youbustinIn

Kilo,
You know very well that Arkansas' head coach left and therefore the team forgot how to play football.
It just wasn't a fair game that day.

Well now if we're gonna go all YouTube on Mizzou trips to Fayetteville, fine then. Here is video of Mizzou's previous trip to Fayetteville just two years prior to that in 1992, when Anthony Peeler put on a dunk clinic and your fatboy Oliver Miller decided he wanted to be in the poster. Oh and Mizzou won its final game in Barn Hill that night, giving Norm Stewart an all-time winning record there. For reference, the highlights of Mizzou making the Piggies look silly in your house occur at the 7 second mark and again at the 1:53 mark where you can see both Nolan *and* Mike Anderson staring helplessly from the bench.

Nah, nobody gives a frick about that Cotton Bowl because we had no head coach and a staff that was heading to Oxford the next day.
Congrats on your best ever football team beating a coachless team in the Cotton Bowl.

You completely missed the point.
Not surprising.....
Posted on 7/27/12 at 2:11 pm to kilo
No, I didn't miss the point. Nobody calls that Cotton Bowl a farce because it is "ancient history". Its considered a farce because we had no coach and a staff which basically favored us losing, because they were heading to Ole Miss when it was over.

Just keep telling yourself that while we accumulate the greatest transfer class in human history and immediately compete for an SEC title in our first year.
No really, that's what people are saying, not just homers like me. Read and weep:
