No one is this stupid.

A coach that has never coached at a school that has never won.

And they ranked #1?

if Earley is replaced, I would expect big changes to staff and team personnel.
However, if Earley stays, what changes need to be made to improve the current situation? Who moves on to professional bb? Probably have to wait to see who portals out? Aggy turned into a gamer of a team for the rest of the year after first Tennessee game. Can't understand Missouri though, Earley doesn't get team ready, I guess.
Earley stays, what changes need to be made to the program? This means everything from grass type, team, staff, fans, parking lot, everything up for changes?

I'll tee up, fire the hitting coach.

Same way they have LSU ranked #1 right now. Love the Tigers but not sure they’re the best team in the country.

It’s honestly pretty big mind-frick at this point but my opinion right now is that Earley is not a long-term employee of Texas A&M.

I’m not saying he should be fired right now. But it’s hard for me to see him having sustained success after such a brutal start. This might be one of the more talented rosters in the conference and clearly whatever magic sauce Schloss had didn’t rub off on Earley.

On the other hand, he’s a new coach and inherited a team with a preseason #1 ranking. I mean FFS. This guy had never been THE guy before. Pretty tough to start your career with nowhere to go but down.

I think the glaring parts of the season for me were:

1) dumb errors still happening a month into the season
2) weak bullpen
3) focus, preparation, or whatever the hell you want to call not allowing your team to get swept by 0fer Missouri
4) key players out for part or all of the season

I think he comes back but another year like this and he could be out on his arse before the season is over.

Agreed

There is a mass amount of talent leaving.

Next year is a rebuilding year which means a second year coach and a program in the down swing.

Might as well rebuild with a new coach

it happens. In 2010 our football was ranked #5 preseason and we ended up 5-7.
Just another reason that polls shouldn't even be released until several games into a season.
