ND is a relic. This is the one year where we don't have a 'name' out of conference opponent we have been doing it for 12 years. Welcome to the party finally. Playing ND in 2019 isn't a big deal.

I’d say it’s a bigger deal than duke, NMSU, or Southern miss. Who was bama’s big ooc opponent last year or the year before? When is the last time bama played a ranked home and home against a ranked ooc opponent? Was it the FSU team that didn’t make a bowl?

UGA thinks its 1981, and they’re coming off an NC win to face off with perennial power ND to start the season.

It really is pitiful how Georgia fans on here think ND is this huge juggernaut obstacle when actual game results show otherwise the last 30 years.

Don’t remember. Maybe if UGA wasn’t so focused on the past and who others are playing, they’d finally get over that hump.

Sad.

They gave Clemson a better game than bama did.

You seem to be the one focused on the past. Let’s talk about the present. Since Kirby’s been at UGA and O at LSU, which school has been closer to a title? Which has won the SEC?

That isn't really saying much. Yes our OOC is weak this year but in the last 12 years we have played a who's who of programs while Georgia was playing Appalachian State or Middle Tennessee. Georgia is very new to this lets not act like you have been doing it for the last 10 years you haven't.

Coach O 1 Kirby Smart 0

And it was by 20 points. Why are you trying to do this to yourself?

Notre Dame was never in that game.

Bama's OOC has been weak the last 3 years. 2017 wasn't their fault, but 2018 was weak as is this year. In the last 12 years UGA's played ranked ND, Clemson, UNC, and OSU. Odd you'd leave those out.

UGA benefits greatly from playing in the east. It is very similar to Clemson being in the ACC. They coast most of the year playing inferior competition in order to be well rested and prepared for the SEC Championship and the playoffs. The one game last year you played outside of the east was against LSU. And you got the dog shite kicked out of you. Then you coasted along again until the inevitable collapse.

These are facts. You can hang your hat on what if’s and how “close” you are if you’d like, but the reality is Ed fricking Orgeron owns Kirby and we have the tape to prove it.

lol and Kirby has an SECC and playoff win. I'm willing to bet LSU and O would trade that UGA win for an SECC and title chance. Not like LSU is so small a school they'd consider UGA their Super Bowl.

Sad you don't understand sample size. LSU and UGA had 3 common opponents in Auburn, UF, and Bama. UGA played better in all 3 games. UGA had a stronger SoS in 2017 and was top 10 in 2018. Keep going with that false narrative that UGA doesn't play anyone though.

We have another sample size as well from 2018:

Kirby vs the East 6-0

Kirby vs the West 1-2

Ask Kirby which division he would rather face week after week. He will tell you.

The problem with this argument is that there are far too many variables for it to be taken seriously.

I prefer to look at objective fact. Such as LSU kicking the dog shite out of UGA.

lol common opponents remove the variables. LSU was better than UGA that day, but UGA was better against Auburn, UF, and Bama. If you'd like objective fact, then Kirby>O with 1 SECC>0 and 1 playoff win>0.

I'm confused... When did O win the SECC or make it to the playoffs?
