The death penalty - if given to an SEC school - might hurt the conference, but you would have many good programs lining up to replace them
Do you really think (if worse comes to worse) the Auburn football program is shut down for a year that the SEC would ask another school to come in just for football just for one year?

auburn doesn't bring anything other than football. if we were to steal tcu from the big east we would actually be improving the conference

AU fans just don't get it HBT. Just like in Pony Excess, the winning is a necessity because their Bama co-workers and associates will rag them if they suck. Even when AU gets the hammer they will switch the argument from AU is innocent to "every team does it" & "payers deserve $ for playing!"
Auburn fans are the worse.
Auburn fans are the worse.

im just wondering if any boosters get the boot like smu did. we all know lowder and dye are behind this so does auburn pull a smu and tell them to stop

Only problem is back then in the SWC, everyone WAS doing it.

Fallacious argument.
Alabama fans get ragged at work too when they suck.
In fact, many said the same things in 2002 when they were caught actually paying $200k to a football player.

auburn will claim everyone is still doing it to justify what they did.

I do believe that if a school such as Auburn is given the death penalty, that the SEC would have no choice but to seek another team to replace them. It would completely destroy the sports programs. I am a baseball fanatic, but I know what brings in money for the baseball team at UF (even though it is a top notch D1 baseball program) and that is football.
Without a football program, all other sports programs at AU would crumble. That is why SMU is playing in CUSA now.
Not to mention that whenever Mike Slive IS replaced, the new commish would kick AU straight out. Auburn would become a Tulane or a LAMon.

Not Arkansas. We were clean and pure as fresh driven snow. It's why we left for the SEC. We just could not be associated with all the ugly corruption of SWC.

Pigs are generally found wallowing in mud, so I kinda doubt it.

I think ESPN is really trying to tell us something here.
It was obvious that they were trying to make some kind of statement with the scheduling of the show. ESPN has agenda.
