quote:

In 2016, the committee devalued a conference championship and a head-to-head matchup in order to get Ohio State into the playoff.

In 2017, all of a sudden the committee thinks the conference championship is important again, so that a 2-loss Ohio State can get into the playoff.

See the pattern here? The committee will do whatever it takes in a given year to get Ohio State in the playoff. To hell with consistency. When Clemson abuses Ohio State again in the Sugar Bowl, maybe that will be what it takes to change the committee's mind in years future.

You hit the nail on the head...The tOSU went in to the CFP over Penn State when they beat tOSU and won the Big 10 is when I saw the collusion...

Why does Alabama deserve to go over Auburn?

I believe you're right OP, no way CFB keeps the whole northeast in the dark during playoffs.

Bama fatigue will help with this also, and I've never seen such a dominate run in modern times. You're not suppose to be able to do this (Win 3 straight SEC titles & 4 Nationals) with 85 scholarship limits within the SEC these days. This feat is amazing and it's crazy when thinking about what Saban/Bama have already accomplished. But, they'll be a victim of their own success today, Bama fatigue and other factors will have Bama home come playoff time.

If the media has any influence whatsoever on the selection committee then OSU is in by a landslide. It’s very clear they do not want Alabama in. Having said that, I don’t blame them. If Alabama hadn’t shite all over themselves in Jordan Hare we wouldn’t be having this convo.
