Get the fricking grease out, I have never seen more skillful turd polishers than the LSU fan base. Check out the Tiger Rant for a clinic on the art of polishing a turd, I.e. Hiring Ed Orgeron. It is truly remarkable. Night.

It is kind of funny how many of them are suddenly trying to make Herman out to be terrible

I can assure you that I'm fully aware of how horrendous this hire was, and I'm not alone in that.

That being said, too many are either comically ecstatic or defensive about the hire. All you can do is laugh.

I wish they would hurry up and hire an OC.

Take a look at this beauty:

quote:

Many complain that Orgeron does not come from a coaching pedigree. Many say he does not have an offensive skill set or defensive skill set. Which is true, he can't coach up an offense, and besides DL, I probably would not choose him coaching up the entire defense.

However, I do not believe that truly matters in today's game.

I'm truly shocked at how many LSU fans seem not only okay but enthusiastic about bringing in Art Briles as their OC.

Gross. But, please give Nick Saban and other coaches more ammo to use in recruiting.

The amount of down votes I receive for opposing the hiring of Art Briles is disheartening. That man has no business being around our program.

ETA: Not to mention the amount of mental gymnastics people are working through to convince themselves he was completely innocent.

It's absolutely disgusting. The man shouldn't be in any consideration for a coaching job at all.

He's the next Belichick or Pete Carroll, only he's going to be completely dependent on his coordinators and mainly just be a figurehead. Makes perfect sense.

I've pointed out before that the role Orgeron appears to play could be replaced by something like a William Shatner or Frank Davis cardboard cutout on the LSU sidelines. Just put a LSU sweatshirt on it and it will be equally effective for the cameras.

My cheeks hurt from grinning at some of the posts the past few days. Everytime I see the vitriol and hate for Ponamsky I crack up.

I had almost forgotten why I like this site so much.

My favorite part is the idiots claiming he just got Duke Lacrosse'd.

L6U really is the worst fanbase in America.

Some of those fans are the same ones thanking Auburn for getting rid of Miles and thanking Florida (after shite talking for over a month) for getting rid of Coach 0.

I'd rather have Miles than have his D line coach.

There you go using common sense. Don't do that. Miles needed to be fired, but that was based on the common sense assumption he'd be replaced with a real coach.

There's been a heavily pushed train of thought by several radio personalities in LA that amounts to if you can't get Jimbo or Herman then Orgeron is close enough. Right, that's makes sense if you are an Orgeron supporter. Not if you evaluate coaches in any sort of normal fashion.

There are more than a handful of real coaches in college football. You don't have to lose your mind if the first two turn you down, or want more money than you think is reasonable. shite, how can people justify paying 3.5 million for a poorly regarded coach instead of 5-6 million for a highly esteemed coach? There's no more important issue than the head coach of your program. Jim Harbaugh was worth whatever Michigan paid.

I for one am enjoying #TheBinder memes and all the fat Goebbels Ponamsky talk

Was Orgeron the best hire we could have made? Not at this point, but time will tell. At least he, unlike Miles, recognizes and is actually trying to address the problems our offense has and doesn't mince words.

I'm going to enjoy the ride like a good LSU fan, with a frick ton of whiskey.
