$8M a year for 6-7 records isn't going to be fun

I imagine Stoops will do better than 7-6 again.

Cal, we will see if we ever leave mediocrity with him

Mitch Barnhart happened - the AD. This all happened because Cal had his agent negotiate with UCLA ... TO TAKE A PAY CUT TO LEAVE.

This is part of the problem, most AD's are no competition for a savy agent.

Stoops has passed Bear Bryant at UK, salary earned

Cal is falling to Rupp, Hall, Pitino, and Tubby

All did more with less talent
All wanted to win the SEC each year
All wanted to go far in the NCAA

I am guessing that if any of them had the talent laden rosters that Cal has, UK would have passed UCLA long ago.

And at 70 freaking years old. Watching his press conference, it's amazing a guy his age still has that much fire. I guess all his issues at UL are making him want to prove himself one last time.

I for one think he'll do it.

This is a big part of it. The embarrassment of that scenario, he wants to put it behind him with another run to glory.
