"Who is an agent and who is a third party and how do you define that?" Emmert said. "Is it a registered agent? A financial adviser? A counselor, an uncle, an AAU coach? Who is representing you? The reason the backlash didn't surprise me is that the face of the case seemed straight forward but we had to deal with the reality of the facts that were known."
I guess this is why Cam changed his tune at the Heisman and said he alone made the decision to go to Auburn. Since allowing his dad to make the decision, soliciting money for his services and him being a legal adult could have easily been argued that his dad acted as an agent on his behalf with his decision to let him make the decision.

Everything goes over their heads.
Their whole program is filled with crooks and liars, all the way from Lowder to Dye to the Newton's. It's no wonder they don't see what the rest of the nation can see.
With leaders/administrators like Lowder, former coaches that cheated (Dye), and financial supporters like Milton McGregor, and shady people like the Newton's entrenched in that program, how could they possibly know what the word "truth" means?

What has not gone over our heads is that we a the BCSNC and it is killing the bammers. It is as if their 09 Championship did not happen. Nobody goes to their signing parties and Daniel Moore has a stockpile of his bama "velet elvis" that nobody wants. We pissed on their parade and the can not stand it.

Give it a little time. Sometimes these things have to simmer

quote:No one has said it is beyond the realm of reason. The only point I was discussing is that proving Cecil (or Cam or Chiz or Dye, for that matter) is a liar =/= proving Cam's knowledge of Cecil's actions. That was the singular point I was making. I have already said it is more than reasonable for fans to believe Cam had knowledge.
Auburn has lied and been busted 7 other times. They lied the last time with their AD and coach about paying players. He's an integral part of the scene now and Chiz openly welcomed him back. It's not beyond the realm of reason to believe that Auburn has gotten back to the Dye ways.
quote:Another Alahunter special - mis-characterizing the facts and avoiding the question. Chiz's statement was directed directly at the release of Cam's educational records at FL. Also, one can not reasonably be expected to prove a negative. Especially, to prove the lack of knowledge, because it can't be done. If it can, explain how.
That would be on Cam and Auburn to show now. By siding unconditionally with Cam and his dad, when Chiz stated it was garbage and Cecil was good people, he linked himself to them. How they do it, is not of concern to me, but that is what people want, instead of silence and no comments.

You asked if Auburn could have known. I made an argument as to why I think they could have, based on their past history and the same people being an integral part of the program again.

Reread. I answered. I said how they prove themselves truthful is not up to me to decide. They dug the holes they put themselves in and discredited their own character, so it is on them to figure out how to gain the trust of people again.
I see that you now, do agree, that it's reasonable to believe Cam knew, and that his knowing would have made him ineligible. When you can admit that it was more likely than not, then we'll make real progress.

That doesn't sound like a man old enough to be Cecil either. I'm guessing that the person on that recording is Kenny Rogers.
This statement is just silly.
I would bet that you can't tell the difference between a 30-40 year old verses a 50 year old person's voice.

Simple question. Have you lied on 'numerous' occasions?

quote:No I didn't.
You asked if Auburn could have known.
quote:No you didn't. You avoid the difficult questions by putting the burden on someone else. Sac up and answer the question yourself. What proof could someone, not just Cam, in a similar position provide of their lack of knowledge? Proving a negative is a near impossible task. Thus, the burden of proof is, by common sense, on the accusing party until there is a sufficient and equitable reason to shift it.
Reread. I answered.
quote:Based on my opinion, I have already admitted that in the past. However, if I am the NCAA, I need some evidence to point to his knowledge before I could rule that the evidence, as opposed to my cynical opinion, shows it is more likely than not.
When you can admit that it was more likely than not, then we'll make real progress.

FYI - John Bond is about to be on Scott Moore's show in about 5 minutes.
Posted on 3/2/11 at 6:23 pm to BamaChick
Bond sounds awfully confident.
Says he is about to send them another snippet of audio that - IN HIS WORDS - "exonerates himself, Bill Bell, and MSU".
Bond's son was recently killed in a car accident and they are talking about his foundation.
He said he refused to do the HBO thing because he didn't want to "stir all that crap up again" but that people haven't left him alone and he wants to release this so he can go about finishing his foundation in his son's memory.
The foundation will pay for at least one kid per year to go on mission trips - his son was killed on a mission trip, I think.
He closes with "I'm going to give people something to talk about, that's for sure."

LOL, so Bamachick, they have you hook, line and sinker too huh?

Where did I say I believed any of this crap?
All I did was transcribe what he said.
The only editorializing I did was to say he sounded confident.
He is still on, FYI.

Not in regards to the media or where hundreds of thousands of dollars have been in play. Nor has my dad tried to shop me around like a slave.
Posted on 3/2/11 at 6:31 pm to Gnar Cat21
but the masters did, and that's what yall claim his dad tried to do, so that would equate Cam to being a slave by definition. That's the scenario newspapers and other fanbases played on when Albert Means was shopped around without his knowledge.

Nothing of substance.
Talked about MSU and Mullen.
Put his daughter on to say "Go Bulldogs".
They say they will have a new snippet tonight.
They are helping Bond promote his son's foundation in exchange for the tapes.
