This is my issue with Auburn fans - Either Cecil is a liar or he's not.
He said he shopped Cam to MSU without Cam's knowledge. Is this the truth or not?
Now it's reported that Cecil was shopping Cam to MSU with offers from UT & Auburn. Is this the truth or not?
Since people either always lie or always tell the truth.
I have not heard any Auburn fan defend Cecil since he admitted trying to get money for Cam.

If it is said in the tapes, if there are tapes. There is not really a defense needed. Nothing is able to be proven from that. Now if anything with ties to someone at auburn came to light, then a defense would be needed.
This is really nothing new. Just because something is said on tape, the NCAA still needs to prove it. And there is precedent for that.

Even if we were, it just proves we can't trust Cecil, it still doesn't prove Cam's knowledge. Seriously, just use a little common sense.
FTR-I am not arguing that Cam didn't know, just that it hasn't been proven and being able to call Cecil's veracity into question does nothing to prove it.

Also FTR I don't think he was ever paid anything and I wouldn't care if Cam was paid a trillion dollars and a harem of hookers. Just don't expect people to be willing to swallow a load of bs.

All I said is that Cecil being a liar doesn't prove Cam had knowledge. I didn't say I believed Cecil or that I thought Cam was unaware of what Cecil was doing. What you or I believe doesn't matter. It is what can be proven to a sufficient level to satisfy the NCAA that matters.
