My great-grand father played on the Pirates team that they swept in the World Series that year.

Maryland, because they were a confederate state and we don't have any turtles as mascots in the SEC.
Maryland wasn't a confederate state, they were a non-seceding slave state like Kentucky or Missouri. But yea, they'd be a good northern team to add. We could beef up basketball and add nearby Indiana.

University of Toronto
a) Makes the SEC international and Canadiens love Florida in the winter
b) Toronto is an AAU school
c) It would piss off the B1G (especially Michigan and Michigan State)
d) SEC would have the oldest football team (Michigan got football from Toronto)
e) It would give the SEC a top hockey team without having to sponsor the sport across the entire conference
(think Vandy bowling, UK rifle, and Mizzou wrestling)

So yeah my answer is add none and remove Missouri and Kentucky.
Then you would not have the SEC
The guy that founded the precursor to the SEC and the SEC itself was a Kentucky guy
The first president of the SEC was the UK president at the time
While Loserville and South Cincinnati may be more Yankee like no one who has ever been to Lexington (where UK is located) calls it Yankee like. It is very southern in lifestyle.
