That would be a good hire. Petrino was a terror at Arkansas unless he’s lost the mojo. Jimbo will be standing there as a worthless figurehead holding his binder, but their offense will be dangerous,

That program is snakebite and Petrino will probably crash his motorcycle with a coed on the back again, but it could work.

It will be one more loss for Lane next year, 6-6 looking at 5-7

This is one of the singularly worst things I've ever read here. But, it's not completely inaccurate.

Good job

Petrino is not the offensive mind he used to be. The game has moved on. He did shite at Louisville and Missouri State wasn't exactly a dominant force.

I just don't see the appeal.

He was great at Arkansas, who is to say he can’t still run a great offense with five star talent ? Alabama is on the way down. The portal has evened the playing field and Saban won’t be around in a year or two. I’d get some humility if I was you.

Back to the topic at hand, Petrino >>>>>>>Jimbo

Big deal, saban might lose his arse at Missouri State

Let’s see him operate with some five stars at a and m. He had the Pigs in the top ten,

Plus there's the aspect of two, old, stubborn head coaches who have always called their own plays on the same staff.

What could go wrong?

Anything at this point is an upgrade over Jimbo and his binder with 5000 plays from the late 80s

They should just hire him to be the HC instead.

Good point, if the offense starts rolling that is exactly what will happen, Jimbo looks like he’s doing meth and whiskey about half the time in interviews.

So imagine this, A&M is in the fourth quarter of an absolute rockfight against New Mexico. Bobby makes a call which is the opposite of what Jimbo would do and Jimbo overrules him.

What do you think happens after that?

No, but he’s still a better play caller than Jimbob
I would certainly prefer it not happen.

They finally realized they will never be LSU with all of the leftover coaches/players, they've moved down a little to Arkansas.

But Arkansas is still the better program. In season, that is...

Ags have a good qb and the talent around them, a few burners at w r and Petrino could wreak some havoc.

They have to get rid of Jimbo if the offense starts clicking. He’s drunk half the time now.

I certainly hope this happens. Those two will be like oil and water. What could possibly go wrong?

I foresee endless entertainment on a weekly basis. Which will be the first to swear out a warrant for the other?
