I like the hire. I think Jimbo held him back.
Even with 3rd string QB our offense was much much more creative after Jimbo was fired.
After Fisher was gone Petrino was on sideline instead of in the box upstairs. At the very least Hogs made a bold move.

Interesting experiment. It all depends on the reality of Petrino’s attitude about everything but if his true motivation is just to win and Pittman lets him do his thing there’s no doubt in my mind he can coach up an offense. Jimbo is a complete dipshit I wouldn’t even waste time considering Petrino’s performance at A&M.
