You really think so? I'd be floored.
Why? Arkansas fans were making it a big deal when Houston Nutt was "texting" back in 2006/2007.

Nutt never won 10 games once let alone twice

Plus it was Donna Bragg.
Even I have fricked Donna Bragg, but before she fricked Nutt, damaged goods after that...

He had worn out his welcome. Petrino is beloved - for now.

I don't care what either did...Arkansas fans shouldn't be hypocritical of the situation.

that's the way of sports. coaches who win get more leeway. not saying it's right but just how it is.

I saw Dr. Drew on campus about ten years ago. It's about time for a return trip. He was funny, btw.

@CheshireHog....
The timing is strange. Typically, I would only call a press conference this late in the evening for major news that for whatever reason shouldn't wait until tomorrow morning. They're not going to bury it by doing the presser now, it'll just be all over tomorrow morning's news. I also don't think they'd do it at this time just to pump sunshine and spin. The only game changer would be if Jeff Long is heading out of town for something important first thing tomorrow morning. Can't imagine much more important than your head football coach involved in a potential sex scandal involving another member of your department, but that's me.
They could also be trying to mitigate the situation by providing such short notice and hoping only a few reporters can make it. They could be hoping they'll do a quick presser and then refuse to take any more questions. Still, they could do one with minimal notice tomorrow morning with likely the same result, and heading into a weekend when other stories will hopefully be more prominent.
They could be announcing they're placing Petrino on administrative leave while they investigate. Or, they've already investigated and are penalizing him in some way. Based on the facts as we know them now, I can't seem them terminating him yet.
Guess we'll know in about 30 minutes!

I'd honestly like some thought-out predictions about what's happening at this presser.

Examples of coaches cheating on their wives that got more leeway because of wins?
I know what you are saying but when you lead young men and represent a "prominent" university there shouldn't be any leeway.
Who got leeway?
