As the resident chamber of commerce guy, I liked this quote the most:

quote:
"I love it here. I think it's one of the great secrets, because I really had no idea what the state of Arkansas was like and what northwest Arkansas was like," Petrino answered. "Growing up in Montana, it's very similar to how I grew up with the lakes and streams and outdoors right next to you."

"We just have to get it where it's like it's been lately. When you play for the national championship, we get a couple of those slow teams from the north and beat the heck out of them."
Oh No he didn't...

My favorite qoute in this article was this
"History has proven that if you go to the SEC championship game, win the championship game, you're playing for the national championship," Petrino said. "We just have to get it where it's like it's been lately. When you play for the national championship, we get a couple of those slow teams from the north and beat the heck out of them."

There are about 80 other schools that would give their left nut to have BMFP, if they were in a hiring process TODAY.
And he left the NFL to come to Arkansas. He wasn't unemployed.

I've recently moved to Northwest Arkansas, and I don't mind it one bit here. Its not Alabama, but I like it. Of course I have no choice in the matter, because my wife is from here.

Oxymoron---- this is what fans from other states who call us deliverance. This same stereotype could fit Kentucky, LSU, South Carolina, Florida (before all the urban yankees moved in), and Georgia.
