Is this what LSU fans are reduced to? Fine, Carroll is a better NFL coach.

Why does everybody want Saban to leave? Are CFB fans so afraid of Saban that they don't believe their favorite CFB teams have any shot at beating him? I've never seen so many people united in wanting an opposing coach to leave.

What? LSU does just fine at beating Saban.

NFL teams live and die on QB talent. Carroll is winning now because he has a heady QB. Saban didn't win at Miami because he fricked the QB situation up.

I hope you're joking. While a great qb helps. There are only 3-4 elite qbs in the NFL. The reigning Super Bowl champs for have an elite qb.

Absolutely not joking. The NFL is a QB's league. Russell Wilson is balling out right now and that is why Seattle is winning.

Here's a nice article for you, know it all:

Furthermore, if Drew Brees had passed his physical, my guess is that Saban would still be coaching Miami.

Saban fricked up several things in Miami not just the QB situation. Saban's style of coaching doesn't work in the NFL without total control of the program and even then grown men don't tolerate being treated the way he treats people.

Maybe he's learned since his first shot in the NFL but he set Miami up for more long hard years than just his tenure. Due to the parity in the NFL as far as talent level I'm not sure Saban would make it at that level.

So Trent Dilfer won the ravens a title, Alex smith is a great qb for the 49ers, flacco is elite? While a great qb helps , there are only 3-4 elite qbs in the NFL. Now of course you can't have a turnover machine at qb, you don't need an elite qb to win in the NFL. Period. I don't care what some article says.

Seattle is winning because of a great defense and a good running game. Russel is playing well but he about the third or fourth most imp reason they are winning.
I guess you think Tebow was why Denver was winning last year.

You are cherry picking examples here. There is absolutely a high correlation between having a good QB and winning in the NFL.

That's the second time you said that and I'll go ahead and disagree.

Yeah you didn't read it. That's ok. Obviously your opinion isn't going to change because you already know everything.

Also I guess you think Luck is the most important reason why The colts are winning. He is STATISTICALLY one of the worst qbs in the NFL, but yet you think it's the qb.

Compare the list of the top rated passers in the NFL right now with the list of the top teams in the NFL this year.

Green Bay, Washington, Atlanta, New England, Houston, Denver - all have quality QBs.

Can you win without one? Sure. But most winning teams have good QBs. If you can't see that, you're blind.

There are more examples of good teams with good QBs than there are of good teams without good QBs.

They had the same things going last year and went 7-9 without a good QB.

Its about chemistry. A good chemistry between a qb and head coach is definately a plus. Both Saban and Carroll have the ability to make a qb suceed and to built a fine game plan with the talent around them.
Did you see the TD pass to Lynch last night? Flashes of Reggie Bush going on deep pass routes at USC.
Only difference between Carroll and Saban is Pete is now proving he can win in the NFL. Saban has yet to do this.

No they didn't. Russel Wilson throwing for 160 yards isn't why they are winning. Like I said, you can't have a turnover machine , but you can win with a avg qb. Period. Last year the giants beat the patriots and if what you said about living and dying with their qb is true , the patriots would've won.

Also their are 4 elite qbs in the league. Houston doesn't have an elite qb, neither does San Fran.
I do agree its a passing league now but you don't have to have a great qb. Just one thy doesn't turn the ball over. Also having a good qb IS NOT the number 1 reason for succes. You're wrong sorry. This is why teams like the giants win the Super Bowl over teams with a HOF ALLTIME great qb.

Agree and I would much rather have Saban as my CFG HC. Carroll turned a blind eye to cheating at USC and got his NC taken away. Saban is looking at his 4th NC; no comparison who is the better college HC.

I have never been a Saban basher and never will be. I love the dude and think he is the best college coach/recruiter in America.

But if we are comparing apples to apples coaching ability then Saban does not belong in the same breath as a,lot of Pro coaches.

It is what is, Sabans process would never work in the pros.

You just said he is not a great coach?

Being a college coach includes recruiting. Just like being an NFL coach includes scouting. So to say Saban isn't a great coach yet calling him the best coach/recruiter in America is kinda dumb.

People love to say Saban failed in the NFL and totally disregard the fact that he was coaching a shite team

Dolphins 2 years with Saban: 15-17
Dolphins 2 years bracketing Saban: 5-27

What a terrible coaching job he did
