Our offense put the nail in the coffin halfway through the first quarter.
Has nothing to do with their offense. We sleep walked in the second half

That's code for "didn't do much" right?

I thought both wins were impressive.

Another TD was called back. Doesn't really matter, but that is what miles does. We also got to see our starting oline intact for the first time since Oregon.

Would a different QB have stopped LSU's offense from scoring the first three possessions of the game?

there is no way a better quarterback could have anything to do with lsu first 3 drives being 53, 57, and 29 yards

They're top two QBs played the whole game, LSU got some weird mix of Burton the tight end playing QB and then some guys who never expected to see the field this year. I don't know how Florida scored. And yes Demps played about a half of Alabama game. But was Florida overrated at #11 before last week? Of course. Not mamy #11 teams lose by 28 at home in primetime.
No, Floridas top qb went out right before halftime and Demps went out before the end of the 1st. quarter.....just sayin

Bama played the first string Florida, Florida conceded the loss to lsu thanks to the destruction bama left to their depth chart. Contests to lsu for the big win over the Florida walk-ons and true freshmen

There were obviously clear differences between the two games. Any neutral observer would say that because of those differences Alabama's performance was more impressive.
and in what shape and form do you think alabama's performance was better?

To the original post. IDK what to think about FL. It is what it is,
But there were different circumstances to each of the wins.
Bama faced brantley for a half, Driskell for the other, at the swamp, with a healthy Demps and Rainey FTMP.
LSU faced a TF. Had Demps at 70%. Plus got them at Death Valley.
Lastly, WTF cares?!!? Nov. 5th is coming.

Last week Bama beat Florida and were ready to book their tickets to NOLA
They can go ahead and book their tickets to NOLA, just a little earlier than they might like, ie., Sugar Bowl vs. Boise State.
I think the odds are quite good that both LSU and AL are in New Orleans in the New Year -- could be playing ag. ea. other in the BCSNCG, or one is in that game, and the other in the Sugar Bowl. In fact I'd be shocked if that isn't the case.
This yr's LSU/Bama game could well turn on the QB position -- LSU has lived and died with Lee and Jefferson for three yrs but at this point both are solid, experienced senior QBs; neither are world-beaters but I'd take them over a first - yr starter like McCarron, who is more likely to crack under pressure than either of them. I'm not saying McCarron is another Sally Jessie, but he will feel the heat.
