Have no idea on why the game is being played but obviously aggy is even further behind Texas in basketball than football.
Looks like it is for recruiting reasons.
Texas recruits at a high level
Even Tech is recruiting at a higher level.
So for Texas based recruits to look at aggy they need to play Texas and other Texas based schools.
Don't know the money distribution
Tickets look like they will be sold to the general public
The city of Ft Worth if they can keep this game going could be getting a steal.
Especially since it doesn't look like football will happen

All time tu is a strong program across the board. They're still damn good in the minor sports, currently. But no one takes them seriously in football, basketball, or baseball right now.
