They got some severe home cooking tonight, and still they complain.
My favorite home cooking sequence was at the 8 minute mark of the second half when Cardwell literally tackled Holloway on a drive and then the refs had the gall to call one of their bullshite touch fouls on Broome the next trip down. Gotta protect that guy at all costs for some reason.

Maybe if he didn't have a felon playing beside Broome and throwing cheap shite elbows every trip down the floor he might get some calls?

The reality is Auburn thrives when officials allow physical defense on the perimeter as they did in the first game.
Bama couldn’t even run off a pick without being bodied or grabbed in the first game. That’s not something specific to Auburn as teams like Tennessee are far worse about it and if it’s not being called I don’t blame them.
But the issue in the NCAA tournament for all the teams accustomed to winning that way in conference will be whether or not they can win an ACC style game in which contact on the perimeter or grabbing players on cuts like we saw yesterday is called closely against both teams.
Baker-Mazara in particular gets very frustrated when he gets called for contact and it led directly IMO to the eye grab and ejection yesterday.
It’s not to say Auburn can’t win a tightly officiated game. They absolutely can. They’re more suited to win a clean game than Bama would be to win a very loosely called game IMO because the smaller guards struggle to trigger the offense when they can’t cleanly turn the corner off the pick and it tends to limit clean looks from deep.
But officiating is absolutely a factor to watch in the tournament for all the SEC teams who’ve adapted to some crews during the conference season allowing B10 levels of contact.
