Yea, we weren't even in his consideration until Anderson was hired.

Hopefully the NBA bumps it up to 2 years of college like they're talking about. Scary to think how dominant we would be.

Florida is top 20 all time as well I'd say.
That is debatable, as UF before CBD was pretty much nonexistent. I believe that UF is right on the fringe of the top 25. Give them a few more years of major success then I believe they will be a top 25 program. If we are looking at just this decade, they are a top 3-5 program without question.

Mizzou is going to be great in basketball in the SEC.
Isn't this the ONLY reason why we added them?

No. You're thinking of the KC and STL markets. If basketball was the reason, we fricked up big.

I thought about that as well the other day. Cal is a recruiting machine. Just hope he keeps y'all clean. Growing up in Memphis I know all about him

Exactly, adding Mizzou was all about the $$$$$$$ in KC and STL markets!

I completely agree.

People say Cal is a sleaze, but it seems like these days with the way it's going it should be cause for concern if your coach is considered an upstanding moral guy.

The quiet nice ones are the one doing it the worst it seems

I just hope for you guys sake he keeps it clean up there. The last thing a program like UK needs is to get dirty like he did with Memphis and UMass...
But, the way I see it. Memphis and UMass didn't recruit itself like UK basketball can so maybe he had to be dirty to get them...
Now he is pretty much picks and chooses who he wants and it seems pretty clean(on the outside anyway).

True. I'd like to think we don't need to do any of those things.

Exactly what I was getting at

Appears to me that the only "programs" above Mizzou in the SEC are UK, UF (as I ALREADY STATED) and arkansas.
Look here
Ranked behind arkansas and Kentucky.
See for yourself
Ranked behind arkansas, Kentucky, and Florida.
#21 in the last 30 years

So if you would kindly do so "Busey", since you are apparently the "oz" of basketball, provide me evidence of why LSU, Mississippi State, Georgia, and whoever else in the SEC can talk shite to Mizzou in terms of basketball. Thanks.

Ah yes. Thank god Mike left us such a "loaded" team! So if that is the case, what was with the mediocre results the last year or two? Apparently it wasn't talent, as you have said yourself. Looks like a coaching issue to me.

Because they've all been to at least one Final Four.

Btw Busey, these Mizzou fans are a new kind of dumb. We were discussing football and one linked the Sagarin rankings because it had 6-5 Mizzou at #11 in the country
frick the AP and BCS polls they are DEAD WRONG!

Lol that is a pretty pathetic argument, if I do say so myself. VCU has been to a final four, as have many other mid majors. Does that make them high ranking historic programs all time? Of course not. Anyone can get hot and make a run.
You said so yourself, anything other than a championship is "first loser". So it would appear to me that the only thing to brag about is a championship.
I gave your school the credit it deserves so I don't understand what your interest in this is. Point is, Mizzou is pretty much a consensus 4th place in the SEC following UK, UF, and UA.
