'Ol Mizzou is going to bring you guys some competition in the SEC. Beat last year's 2 seeded Notre Dame by 29 last night, and beat the top team in the Pac-12 (Cal) by 39 tonight.

Also, having fun with suitcase mike yet, ar-kAnsas?

That's alright. I don't expect an LSU fan to know what basketball even is....

How many Final 4's you guys been to?

I remember the 1980 NCAA tourney in Houston, "Mizzou" fans were chanting "Shoot DeWayne Shoot!" (referring to LSU star forward DeWayne Scales) ... the "Astronaut" did indeed shoot LSU past the hapless faux Tigers...

Welcome to the big leagues boys

Meh. Sure we haven't been to a final four, but that doesn't mean we haven't been any good. The '80s and '90s were good times for us and we racked up several 1 and 2 seeds over those years. I'm not saying Mizzou is a basketball powerhouse by any means, but we're better than average and will be right up at the top in the SEC.

Key word, last years.
Notre Dame lost to UGA today. UGA isn't that great.

This thread illustrates why Missouri is not SEC material.

An arse whooping is an arse whooping. Nobody in that tournament was even CLOSE to Mizzou.

Yeah yeah you guys can keep saying that all you want. Doesn't change the fact that we're in now, so you'd best get used to it.

Y'all wouldn't even be the second or third (fourth?) best team in the SEC.

No. You won't. Kentucky is the top and no one else even comes close (UF has and does sometimes). You may be able to compete for first worst, though.

Oh yeah? Behind who? UK of course.

-Vandy? Nah, beat them even in bad years.
-Florida? Not what they were 5 years ago.
-Tennessee? Bruce Pearl is gone. Not the same team without him.

I'd bet we finish 4th or better next year.

You forgot Bama and State. Bama is much better than Mizzou. State may be a little better. Arkansas will be decent before too long as well.

SEC basketball is on it's way up.

UK
Florida
Bama
Miss St
Vandy

Will all make runs in the tournament this year.

Arkansas and Tennessee are in rebuilding phases so it will be a couple years.

The AP polls as well as the coaches seem to think so in their polls.
