Well SEC defense is elite
i cant lie
But when they start playing teams like Ohio State And Texas who try to have the best defense and the best offense in the country simultaneously every year then i think theyll end up getting exploited over time.

If they step their offenses up and try to be best in country every year on both sides of ball is when theyll gain the true Alpha status they so desire

Well, we haven't played in the finals for two years now.

Big ten placed two teams in semis and SEC is only placing one per year and frankly, our teams are not looking that loaded compared to past SEC teams. There is not a team in the SEC that could beat 2019 LSU, 2020 Alabama, or some of UGA's NC teams.

The 2019 LSU team will be the greatest team ever for a long time.

The second greatest team ever was better than LSU 2019
1. Texas 2005
2. USC 2005
And Texas did it with a junior QB who went straight to NFL after not a fifth year QB like LSU
If Vince comes back two more years they three peat with the three greatest teams of all time
USC 2005 woulda beat LSU 2019 by 40 points
Ha! Ha! Ha!

It’s all about money now. Tulane might beat arse and win a NC.

Yeah, they gotta figure something out fast or its gonna get uglier
They cant stay down any longer
Or theyll end up like Tennessee of someone.

However, its dominance may be waning, as a Big Ten team has won the last two national championships; the Michigan Wolverines claimed victory in 2023, followed by the Ohio State Buckeyes in 2024.

You conveniently left out that it's always been Michigan and OSU. That's it for the B1G historically. Penn State did it as an Independent, and Oregon has never done it, and USC won one BCS and had to give it back, and frankly, as we speak, is still a mess in getting their program straightened out.

ALABAMA, Tennessee, LSU, Florida, and Auburn have won Natties since the BCS. The shorthorns and Oklahoma, of our newcomers, have also won NCs in the BCS era.

Just wondering if Finebaum ever does the math?

Oregon was capable last season, but ran into a buzzsaw in Ohio State.

The point of the article is about the current playoff/NIL, not the BCS era.

I think its cuz they dont have the names on the back of the jerseys.
Ha!!
In all seriousness i dont know.
Its hard, you gotta get a good QB,
Good Head Coach, good defense and good running backs all at the same time.
Thats what Ohio State, ND and Texas all had last season and it took Texas 13 or 14 years to finaly get that again.
