How is it a stunning upset when 9/10 sports analysts picked Ole Miss? It was a great win for Ole Miss but no one should be shocked that they won.
The shocking thing was Bama turning the ball over 5 times and coming out really flat on offense in a game where they were supposed to be fired up and want revenge.
Anyone that blames Bama's defense for this loss is a tool.

The only thing that separates Bama from your scenario is that there is a period of sanctions between each rise and fall.

Pat Forde is awful. But I don't think you can deny that Bama is not who they were.
So does this make your win less impressive?

Alabama has not gone undefeated since 2009. It was a great game plan by Ole Miss and there were quite a few lucky bounces and breaks along the way. I do believe Bama needs to work in the secondary, especially turning their heads and making a play for the ball.

Not used to winning, we get it.

Saban looked like he has lost interest in coaching Alabama. He appeared to have lost his fire on the sideline during the game. Never once did I see the fiery "in your face" contorted faces I have become accustomed to seeing from him.
Just an observation.
Just an observation.

Alabama will lose more games this season and LSU will be one of the teams to beat them. Everyone senses something amiss in T-Town and Saban has that look that he's uncomfortable with some things in the program. I'm wondering if the offensive game has passed him by.

Alabama team I saw last night didn't look nearly as good as teams I've seen in the past. They are not the dominant program they were a few years ago.

He looks like Urban did his last year at UF.

Gimme a break. It took 5 turnovers and 2 TDs on fluke/trick plays and OM still only won by 6 points.

He looked pretty pissed after the return fumble.

Vandy and UK were wining football championships when the Gators were still messing their diapers. Ole Miss was denied for being good at the height of civil unrest.

It's really amazing how people overreact after one weekend. Bama isn't going anywhere and will be just fine the rest of the year. The Bama vs LSU game will probably decide the West.

Bama really needs to start thinking about life after Saban. Or at the very least pressure him into a staff shakeup. The game has passed him by. It's happening with Spurrier at USC, it happened with Mack Brown at Texas, it will happen to every coach eventually. He could at least dump Smart and Williams, probably Cristobal too. Even Mack Brown was smart enough to ditch Manny Diaz.
But, they won't. Administration will keep felating him and fans will keep making Kiffen or whoever the next OC is the scapegoat. And in two or three years, when Alabama is regularly losing to teams with less talent and playing in Shreveport every December, people will wonder why.
