Of arctic temperatures, heavy snowfall, dangerous wind chills and anticipated power outages impacting hundreds of thousands of people all over the country. Be safe and be good to your neighbor. This includes you, Mississippi and Louisiana.

As someone who lives a few minutes drive from Canada I have to say deal with it.

We get snow early and often. It will be there till sometime in March or April.

Now if the totals exceed 4 inches that will be tough especially since people in the South have no provision for getting their driveway plowed or even owning a basic snow shovel.

It also helps to have a backup generator, those power outages over an hour are going to leave you shivering indoors.

Here, this storm is business as usual.

Preach brother. I’m on the other side of Lake Erie and about 70 nautical miles away from Canada. This is pretty much business as usual. But I say that knowing that there are many southern states that are a bit out of the element when it comes to this type of stuff. I hope they all find some resources and stay safe. I had family that used to live in Warner Robins GA and in the event of an ice storm, it was borderline catastrophic at times. We should all be looking out for each other in times of crisis.
