I'd like to be clear. we're going to get up to 36 inches and we still know how to get out of the fricking road. Looking at you retards in atlanta.
Yea I was astonished at the reports of people being "stranded" in their cars for 17+ hours.
Sorry but after 25 minutes of going nowhere I'm walking.
Years ago I had to go to LR for a mandated state training thing. MANDATED. Left Fayetteville when it was just starting. Got hairy past Russellville, the Maumelle hill was shutdown due to jackknifed semi's. Miles of traffic backed up. I waited about 45 seconds before getting out and walking up the interstate to check it out. Once I realized we weren't going anywhere for a long time, I cut across the median and went back and got a hotel in Conway til morning drove to LR, checked in my hotel there just in time for them to cancel the whole thing because people in LR couldn't get there. I made it from Fayetteville but people couldn't call a cab or ride the bus in their own city.
I'd manage OK in the zombie apocalypse because I have zero patience and will not wait like a moron to get trapped by other morons. 4WD is a must for all situations though.
