Tre looked like shite his senior year because he was playing with a broken back and didn’t tell anyone. Glad he went to OU and it worked out for him.

OU seems to play up to the competition,

lost 38-31 vs 7-5 ISU
beat 1-11 Baylor 49-41
beat 6-6 Texas 29-24
beat 7-5 KSU 42-35

You play down to competition if anything.

Would you look at that. Another OU fan coming here to say they win. frick off. You just admitted you know nothing about our team and yet it’s a win simply because you’re OU.

I am learning more and more about your team...but yea, as a fan, the bluster of saying yer favorite team winning is no biggie I'd think, right?

Anyway, I was just thinking about OU's run defense this year. We haven't faced anyone with a dominant run game...The Big 12 is pretty much sling it to the receivers, but, a couple of teams have OK run games and there were times were OU blew a coverage assignment and gave up chunks of yards. When they mind their assignments, things look much better. They are athletic, but granted they haven't faced multiple really good RB's this year....Georgia's backs kind of remind me of us last year with Perine , now with the 'Skins and Mixon, now with the Bengals.

Well the Texas game you can throw out, that game, regardless of how good either team is, is an out and out toss up every year. They play in Dallas, a 50/50 drive for each team..half the stadium is in crimson and crème and the other in burnt orange. It's a totally unique environment where there is non-stop cheering from one side or the other nearly the entire game.

The others, I would view, particularly after the Iowa State loss, where the defense was struggling big time (and scoring points was graphically NOT the issue), were more about doing what needed to be done to get the W, hence the performing when the chips were on the table, ie- lose another game and your out of everything, so imo they rose to the occasion while trying to fine tune the poor defense.

We play in the same type of game every year in Jacksonville against Florida, so no it is not "totally unique." We won our neutral site game 42-7. Oklahoma has let shitty teams stay close all season. Will that matter on Jan. 1? Who knows, but it's true.

I did not know that. However, I didn't necessarily mean that unique in the sense of excluding others that may do it. Clearly, it's unique for you guys too then...More that it's such a unique environment of having 50/50 fans in the stadium versus the rest of the schedule and the history of the series pretty much tells the tale that the game is ultra competitive regardless of what the teams do for the rest of the year, so for that one game , playing up or playing down doesn't really apply.

I guess we could use that excuse for our Auburn loss then...

Maybe!...Is Auburn your 'hated' rival? Around here, Texas sucks so bad we mercilessly rip each other nearly to the point that the entire season rides on beating them in that one game. LOL

We lost to Georgia because we didn't have enough good players and Georgia did.

You Aubies come up with stupider shite than Tenners sometimes.

I’ve noticed an ignorant arrogance with many OU fans.

If Georgia gets boat raced by OU, we’d be sad but not shocked, we admire OU as a quality team.

If OU gets boat raced by Georgia, their whole fanbase will be in a state of disbelief because they have no respect for the buzz saw they are about to walk into.

He was a surprise to me...CeeDee Lamb was on fire the first few games but Mark Andrews came on the rest of the way as the 1st or 2nd receiving option

People don't use the TE very much, so often they are left to run free. Get a good TE and a QB willing to throw to him and you can catch lightening in a bottle. Andrews is legit, and Mayfield does not hesitate to use him. He is one of my biggest concerns. I can see Oklahoma coming out throwing to Andrews, then when we go to shut him down go deep to Lamb. Oklahoma has a lot of weapons on offense, as does Georgia. Should be a good game.

We're now on Auburn melt--day 18. Can someone just request a sticky thread to count it in one spot?

Yeah Andrews scares me more than Mayfield. We have held up well with dual threat QB's.
