You are currently in a tier with Kentucky, Missouri, Auburn, Ole Miss and South Carolina.

You may have a good season now and then, but will never sustain it enough to be thought of as a serious contender.

You need to upgrade from 1988 technology then. Its a copy of an X picture and it shows up for others.

I stated facts and thats all it was, facts. Not one poster can provide any evidence of having played 6 top 25 SEC teams in 1 season.

Pretty sure I already brought the receipts…

Why has the LSU W-L record been behind Mizzou in the last two years?

What year? And is that final rankings or rank at time of game?

Imagine if we had no injuries and what our offense would be like even at 50 with the defense (and the D would have been better with complimentary football)

We’ll have offense next year and then we’ll see how it shakes out. This year has been historical in the amount of injuries, just bizarre.

2016… I even linked to my source.

Rankings were when played… since you are referencing this year when there is NO FINAL RANKINGS YET… seems most appropriate. Unless you are going to “move the goal posts”.

The facts are almost every team in the SEC will have one of these types of years. If someone from each team was willing to do a deep dive, over the past 20 years I believe anyone could pull up similar tough schedules. That is why depth counts as much or more than elite talent. When you go to war with 7 of your fellow conference members each year, you need the jimmies and the joes and their second and third string teammates to be competitive.

2016 sucked for Ole Miss as well. Starting the kickoff classic with #4 FSU and blowing them up in the first half… then watching them pull away in the second was a demoralizing portent of the rest of the season. Opening SEC play with another close loss to #4 Alabama in which we led most of the game … only to see us wear out in the 4th and lose in a close one really drives home the lesson that lack of depth kills.

Welcome to the SEC and this is actually a down year for us all.
I understand your team is beaten up and damaged but this is the SEC you have to build up depth.
8-4 is average year in the SEC and you will see why.
Our Defense has carried us on their shoulders this season but next season who knows
We finished this season at 10-2
I predict 9-3 or even 8-4 this season so we over achieved my prediction this season.
Heupel is a good coach he came to Knoxville and fixed a team that most people had given up on.

You better hope Heupel will get his wish and beat Georgia next year.

There it is, the goalpost move lol. Show me the rankings at end of SEC schedule which is what I said. No one has played 6 ranked SEC teams before this year and thats just facts. Heck, Auburn was ranked when we played them but I didn’t count it because they are not right now. OU was ranked for the first half of our SEC schedule and we sucked at 6-6, should our early opponents count that?

Now, OU isn’t the only SEC team to do it as a few others in SEC did this year if not mistaken. But none prior to this year.

I went and looked it up and there were 5 ranked SEC in 2016. Bama/Florida/Tenn/Aub/LSU. How many of those did you play?

3 is the answer. Half of 6

So you only played 4 ranked SEC teams. Again, no team in SEC has ever played 6 top 25 ranked teams (ranked after conf play was over, not at the time). You showed me 4

You went from nobody has ever played a schedule like OK, to no team in the SEC has ever played 6 top 25 ranked teams ( ranked after conf play was over) to has to be SEC ranked teams after conf play was over…. You moved the goal posts. And you’re not repping OK very well crying about how hard it was to be a fan after your team played this schedule. Face it. OK is in the big leagues now and there is no crying in football.

No. Posters in this very thread said that was a typical normal SEC schedule. I challenged them to find me one team who played 6 ranked SEC teams, not at the time rankings.

Do you know what typical means? It means common. And thats a lie. You have yet to show me even one. Thats a simple ask and if its been done so many times where is the proof. If its typical there should be a lot of data out there to back it up. Yet page 3 and no one can.

Your analysis is flawed. You are asking us to compare apples to oranges. An arbitrary (your) ranking before the end of the season to final rankings after all playoffs and bowl games are played.

You moved the goal posts on your third entry to this post. The title and your first two entries didn’t say anything about end of conference play. Which is a dumb metric since you are trying to compare current rankings to final rank (after all playoffs and bowl games are played.)

Arkansas has played 6 ranked SEC teams in the final poll:
2022
2020
2016
2013

7 ranked SEC teams:
2014

Several years with 5 ranked SEC teams.

Get over yourself.
