Yeah, that "no reason to play" excuse doesn't sit right with me. OU got beaten by a very talented team in a great environment. Both teams were playing to win.

Falby was fantastic...and very frustrating for OU.

Landry is a really good pitcher, but I think Patty pitched her too much this weekend and she ran out of gas. Not knocking Patty, as she has done a masterful job this season. She deserves coach of the year.

Yeah, Landry had to be a little tired, but those Gator girls' bats were hot. I think they'd have likely lit up our other pitchers like they did Friday, if not worse.

Ava, on the other hand, wasn't the least bit rattled. She's impressive. It was a good series. Looking forward to many more.

Will Oklahoma even make it to the finals with this team?

I would say it's unlikely actually. This team is pretty far ahead of schedule but it's still mostly made up of all freshman and sophomore's and only has 1 good pitcher. Still somebody is going to have to beat OU twice in Norman and OKC but good hitting teams like Florida and A&M can do that. #1 class coming in next year so just really need to build for the future this year.

Yes sir!

They is a ton of mutual respect between these two programs. They also both are very competitive and want to win. I look forward to many more great series between us. It is going to suck when the day comes that Gasso and Walton retire. Patty is 62, Tim is 52. She has been at OU for 30 years, he has been at Florida for 20 years.

Trivia fact: Patty's first year as head coach at OU was Tim's senior year when he was a pitcher on the OU baseball team.

You won the series between us, but you haven't won the SEC Title or the Natty yet... Lot's of softball left. Hubris.

Man did all the gator fans come out of hiding or what ……. Keep up this enthusiasm…. Your suppose to support your team even when they are losing . I suspect when we do inevitably beat you in the World Series most of you won’t find you way back to this board lol. Your not playing a throw away game in Gainesville .

Yes I literally said your center fielder wa amazing she single handily saved you from defeat .

UF still lost the sec by 5 games to OU

Florida struggled without Rothrock while she was out. We had to rely on a true freshman as our Friday night starter, and it showed against Texas and Arkansas.

But Rothrock is back in shape for more innings and Oxley is getting better every weekend. Shumaker has more upside than any player in the country. Definitely Freshman of the Year.

I usually post on a Gator forum for softball, and I've watched most of the games this year.

She was awesome, and I have no issues with her going home as she wanted to promote softball in her home state.

Not sure how it works out had she stayed due to injury last year. And since softballers can pitch many innings its not as easy to get more than one true ace on a team due to playing time and primary billing.

But we do need pitching its our only weakness.

Your center fielder is amazing. She saved several plays not just the robbed home run.

You should post less. Florida fans are consistently around whether their teams win or lose. Their overall athletics have done well since winning their first major sport national title in 1996.

Since 1996:
- 3 football titles
- 3 men’s hoops titles
- 1 baseball title
- 2 softball titles

I wish OU could have added to ever football total since 2000, and still looking for a basketball title.

Florida is the standard to aim for.
