Austin has gone to hell and most of it has been in the last 5 years.
Homeless everywhere and they are aggressive. Defunded the cops and the ones who are left know it isn't worth it to try to stop them.
6th street used to be cool and quirky. Now it's dirty and dangerous. The hippies have been replaced by a lot rougher element. The women are angry leftists that get offended by everything and like to color their hair purple and do weird stuff to it while getting tatted up and getting piercings.
The BBQ is still good though, no doubt about that.

Anyway, I for one couldn't be happier with the UT Longhorns joining the SEC. Love the place or hate the place. it is a "cadillac program" that immediately gives legitimacy to anything it touches.
I don't think anyone of us seen this coming, and are a little in shock suddenly having two bonafide top tier programs dropped into the conference, so there seems to be a lot of talking out of the a$$es in some of these threads.

I have been to Austin numerous times over the years. Very unique city for sure but yes, my last trip (as I stated above) was a head turner. I could not believe my eyes. This is what happens when schools brainwash students into socialism and the hate America stuff. Truly sad to see. It’s probably coming to a city near me soon.

Correct go to any big city and it’s the same recipe. Gov handouts homelessness and idiot kids thinking this is how it should be hating anyone that worked for their money
