he is our JT Barrett. We won't be able to get rid of him regardless of his performance

Saban will allow a true battle in the spring. The real hurt to Jalen would be if he doesn't play in the NFL right? And I don't think he's playing at QB so if Tua is obviously better in Saban's mind then he'll move Hurts to another spot. It would only create a lot of bad karma on the team if everyone knew that Tua was better. Even Jalen would feel guilty about it at some point. That's not good for team chemistry and Saban won't let that go on over for long. Plus he's good enough of an athlete to play several positions.

You can't make a post without showing your stupidity.
There is a mortal ton of considerations to be made when thinking about replacing a player of Hurt's statue. Team unity, the experience factor, the message sent by your action, on and on and on.....
Ignorant pricks like you don't have a clue....it's hieroglyphics to a fool like you

CC gets it. Thinking any of our backups can take Jalen's job because of something they did in practice or spring training flies in the face of reality. Saban trusts Jalen and the more importantly Jalen has the respect and admiration of the team. There is soooo much more to being the QB at a place like Alabama than throwing a pretty ball or making all the reads. Either Jalen will take the next step or we're in for 4 frustrating JT Barrett type seasons. DWI.

Hurts doesn't see his receivers open. If he did and throw the ball when and where he should he would be 27-0

But this is just one mans opinion.

I'd bet our wide receivers wish someone else was playing qb

If "ifs" and "buts" were candy and nuts, I'd "nut" all over a "butt" and we'd all have a Merry Pornflick.
