Exactly, I know the main goal of our football team is to win the SEC, and thats what Spurrier wants most but I cant stand it when fans say they'll take an SEC title if it means losing to CU that season and I was thinking really? what good is bragging about something if your in-state rival (especially 1 who gets ribbed on for the conference they're in) beats you down? Not only that but I love baseball and basketball but the football game carries all the way until next seasons football game. Beating CU in basketball + baseball is nothing if they can throw a football score in your face. (which is what we've been able to do this past season)

Outside of the random SC fan that hates UGA more (for w/e reason) yeah pretty much. and its by a mile. Winning that football game gives you bragging rights over everything else until next season and theres nothing you can say to it, everyone know football is 1st in this state. When CU QB Kyle Parker was in outfield this year for their baseball team you should've seen the shite he got. Security guard had to come over and tell us to calm down.

I thought the beating was well deserved. And it rid us of Tubs and his underperforming staff once and for all.
If you had beaten us, say, 24-3, he'd have likely stuck around for another year. I remember smiling a little when McElroy hit Maze on the long TD near the end, because I knew that was the final nail in the coffin.

Now, Texas, you could say THEY didn't have a 'want to win'. But 'want to' and 'able to' are two very different concepts.
Last year's IB was the inverse of the '04 IB in terms of talent imbalance. The biggest differences between the two games were that our offense in '09 was overwhelmingly superior to yours in '04, and your defense in '04 was overwhelmingly superior to ours in '09.
That and we managed to score TDs instead of FGs when we built our lead, forcing you to come from further behind.

What irked me about that game was Tubbs didnt call one single timeout in the second half. He knew at half time he was finished at AU. He was just trying to get it over with and move on.
