You're forgeting one thing....Crxxms could recruit and Nutt couldn't. <-- there is your answer.

Actually Nutt could recruit but couldn't develop talent. Mullens wanted 3/4 of the players on our roster but they chose Nutt over Mullen. The difference being Mullen wasn't a tard and developed talent

Nutt recruited a lot of retards and at risk signees who basically shite at mid field with no sign of discipline in the program. A guy like Tig Barksdale went from being a Thug POS with Nutt to starting and earning a 3.0 in his last semester with Hud. Character evaluation and program discipline is something you have to hit on with recruiting.

I agree 100% but you can't tell me that Nutt and Mullen went head to head for almost all of those kids and Nutt won most of the time. Would it have worked out differently if they had gone to State? Who knows but you can't deny Nutt out recruited Mullen more than the other way around.

This is moot because Mullen recruited Tig, Snoop, PP etc but lost. He didn't not chose them

That's been pretty key. Thus far, Mullen's recruiting has been underwhelming, but he's done great things with developing talent. With a few decent classes in a row now, I'm excited to see what he does with them.

Not really. Mullen and Nutt went to head predominately in MS and the only year Nutt clear cut dominated the top 10 in-state talent was 2011. If you want to be honest it was more even than anything, and some of those kids would have definetly been better off at State. Some it might not have mattered. The bottom line is Mullen gives the kids structure and it pays off in spades for both sides. His players are graduating and staying out of trouble, which is huge to be able to pitch to parents of recruits. They're also winning more games than usual and getting to the NFL at a higher rate than before and a few other SEC schools.

I was mostly referring to Nutt's OOS signees who were passed on by the major in-state schools there.

Our main troubled guys have been in state guys. The OOS guys have been fairly productive.

Nutters was a snake oil salesman. But he did not give a frick in the last 2 years. And it showed throughout the program. Freezus has his work cut out for him and it would behoove Ole Miss to be patient for once in the history of yalls program.

Outside of Sawyer how many of the Florida kids panned out?

I think their patience will depend on how they play those cupcakes. If a team like Tulane or UCA stomps Ole Miss then I think year two will have a bit more pressure on Freeze than fans would like to think. OTOH, if they take care of those three cupcakes and are competitive in a few SEC games he's bought himself to at least year three.

Sedarious Bryant, Frank Crawford, Cliff Coleman, Corey Gaines, Keith Lewis, Mike Marry, Korvic Neat, Ralph Williams. All but Coleman will be in our 2 deep probably.

Maybe a state fan can explain this to me...

Why is it so hard to believe we can out recruit you? The only argument you have right now is your program is mediocre at the moment and ours is bad right now. Now that's a huge argument, yet we are still doing well and getting guys you really want. Yet back in 08 and 09 when we were the better program or before then when our programs were the same, why is it so hard to believe we out recruited y'all for the players we got instead of y'all passing on them because they're thugs?
OM is a better party school
OM is a prettier school
Oxford is a better town
OM has prettier women
OM has more fans
OM has better facilities
OM has famous graduates (not as important)
OM has a richer history
OM is a better overall program
OM has more NFL players
OM has better NFL players
OM is famous for its tailgating
Etc etc etc

And for those reasons we will out recruit you when things are even. And for those reasons when things are going your way, we will still out recruit you for a number of players because in the grand scheme of things, we have more going for us.

As you should be. When Mullen has talent he does well. In '10 he had 8 starters who were four stars. When he matches that, which he will soon, he will produce seasons like that because he develops talent and uses them in the best way possible

This was the basis behind my "watch out for Central Arkansas" statement. He's coaching a bunch of guys that are conditioned quitters when faced with adversity. He's trying to overcome that by changing their mindset. The growth of that "winner's mentality" can afford NO unexpected setbacks, especially early in the season IMO.

Beat UCA like a drum, drop 50 on UTEP, and your looking at guys buying in and beginning to taste confidence for the first time in their careers with Texas coming in.

It's not. It's easier to get stars than build quality depth. We have depth. Y'all have stars. Go right ahead. I think you guys need another running back or qb. One of our best signees wasn't even ranked. You guys "out recruit" us every year. I don't expect this year to be any different.

Well this has been our point all off season. We believe we have a guy who can develop talent and recruit. Of course he hasn't proved shite yet and I don't expect you to believe it without proof.

All we are trying to say is our team quit after the Vandy game last year. Just flat out quit. We feel we have a guy that won't do that this year. So our mindset is that the La Tech game and other games at the end of the season are worse than they would have been had the team not quit.

If you could admit that Freeze can't be any worse than Nutt in this category then we could move on to a more realistic and thought provoking discussion but I know that this site is worthless for that since ATPB.
