Well I won't support any of the selections. I have enough Colonel Reb gear to last me a while. Might go buy some more soon. I refuse to support this new image. And when I have kids...they will not support it either. They will know all about Colonel Reb.

I like Tennessee's Coondhound. I have a real one just like the one in my avatar. Get a big ol' female Mississippi Bloodhound and name her Ole Missi or Ole Rebel and be done with it. They have one hell of a voice and it would make a great mascot.
Ole Miss needs something like this! Just my opinion.

I haven't looked at the list, but what is wrong with a black bear? So what they aren't anywhere near Oxford. We arent the university of oxford, were the university of MS and I think the Teddy bear story is a good one that could be well marketed. I'd love to have a live black bear like mike the tiger caged on the sideline and every OM kid would have a Teddy bear with an OM jersey on it. A bear roar on kickoff could sound pretty cool, plus they're severl badass bear designs. I know nothing will replace col reb and I'm sure most of those names on the list are awful, but what were wanting it to be?

Yeah I don't really mind the bear. Its a pretty unique mascot compared to most of the others within the college landscape. Aside from California, are there any other bears in as college mascots? Anyway my top 3 of those:
1) Bear
2) Horse
3) Shark
