That number includes the Medical School, and four other campuses.

There's probably about 16,000 students in Oxford, and about 19,000 students in Starkville.

I went to Starkvegas in 2002 or 2003 to watch my Hogs. I remember the campus was very bare and after visiting Ole Miss multiple times I understood why people went to UM.

However, it seems with all the building going on at MSU, there was a lot of construction back then, it seems MSU has removed itself of the cow laden name and is now larger than UM. Who wold've known?

Back when I was at State in the early/mid 80's, MSU clearly had a better looking campus than OM. After that, (in the 90's? 2000's?) OM did a huge amount of landscaping while State didn't do much at all, and OM passed State. In the last 3-4 years, State has been and is doing a lot of landscaping and is actually changing the campus layout (getting rid of roads through campus, etc). It has already helped, but the improvements are going to take several years to complete and grow in.

As far as the 'cow laden' thing, State has only 9% of it's students in agriculture. We have many more in each of the Colleges of Business, Education, Engineering, and Arts&Sciences.

Come on man. You ring cow bells. You have milk offs. Your off campus practice area is called "The Farm". Dont get upset when someone confuses you with cows and farmers

UAFS only has 7700 students.

ETA: There's also UALR and UA-Monticello, I don't know their enrollment numbers.

They are around 3,000 each, UALR and UAM, which makes sense for the 40,000.

The only real number that matters is on Campus.

I've been to every SEC school in the West except Bama, I'll be there this month for the game, and I'm surprised how much MSU has grown past UM.

They have had good leadership in the academic department at MSU. Their Athletic budget is always impressive for how small it is in the nation and what they are able to do with it.

Ole Miss is also one of few schools that count second year freshmen as part of their "record breaking freshman classes".
