Ole Miss fans not originally from Mississippi....

How long did it take you to understand the importance of the Egg Bowl among Ole Miss and State fans?
Having grown up in Mississippi I remember as a kid people on both sides talking up the egg bowl around Thanksgiving. I remember playing football during recess and kids wanting to be on the bulldogs or rebels.
The EGG BOWL when both teams are good always makes things better like in the late 90's/ early 2000's when both teams were ranked and going to bowl games.
Can't wait for tomorrow night.

days with Smoot, Ashley Cooper, JJ, Pig Prather, Porkchop Williams, Madkin(even though i hated his Chris Rock looking, interception throwing arse) against Ole Miss where the good ole days....My favorite egg bowl was when State kicked the ball in the air and intercepted the ball to win the game off the score that followed shortly after...Both were ranked in the Top 20 that game if i recall correctly

I know folks who are lifelong OM fans who grew up in New Orleans, Monroe, Nashville, Birmingham, Mobile, Dallas, Houston, etc.
Al just gets mad that nobody from outside MS wants to go to that shithole in the golden triangle.

As an Alabama fan who lives in Bulldog (mostly) country but travels to Oxford 2 or 3 times a month I can honestly say that no Ole Miss fans that i've met care about the Egg Bowl more than it being another football game. WAY more important to Miss St fans. That's coming from an objective observer.
